Y/N was surprised when Shouta had kissed her. She had been hoping that if something was to happen between them, it would happen that night, because everything just had been so perfect until then, that this was the only logical outcome. At least in her mind, where Shouta and her could maybe have some sort of future together. Where she might just have a future at all again.
But by the time they had gotten home, she had already kind of given up on that possibility, because it was getting late already and Y/N just didn't think that Shouta had a lot of other things planned besides burning the wishes, having that cup of tea and then going to bed, because it was late already.
If she was honest that kiss didn't seem very planned anyway. He probably hadn't planned anything and this had just happened. Y/N was almost sure that it was an accident and he hadn't meant to kiss her when he pulled back and apologized, but she wasn't going to give up just like that.
Kissing Shouta felt too good. Y/N loved it - she loved the feeling of his rough hands on her skin, the feeling of being completely wrapped up in his arms, his lips on hers, barely able to take a breath... she could feel his muscles when she was pressed up against him so tightly - she knew that he was strong, but until now she hadn't realized just how strong he really was all this time.
She pulled away again to catch her breath, looking at Shouta. She could see that he wanted her in his eyes - Y/N just hoped that it wasn't just something for this very moment, because she didn't want to lose Shouta as a friend. But she also wanted them to be more than friends.
"Y/N, I..." he muttered again. Y/N put her index finger on his lips to keep him silent, before resting her head against his chest, his arms still wrapped around her. She could hear his heart beating fast and she smiled to herself. Shouta holding her close like this while they were both catching their breath was one of the best feelings in the world... She had probably never felt this safe before.
"Were you serious about that kiss?" Y/N asked, once her own heartbeat had calmed down enough for her to be able to face Shouta again. He looked down at her, brushing some strands of her hair out of her face. Y/N almost felt like crying, because he was always so soft and gentle with her, no matter what he was doing - and she hadn't been used to something like this in a while.
"Of course. Of course, I was serious about it. Are you okay? You look like you're about to cry..." Shouta said to her, his hand caressing her cheek. Y/N leaned into his touch and nodded slightly, a few tears rolling down her cheeks. She hated that she was crying at a time like this, but she just again felt so overwhelmed. In a good way. She was overwhelmed because she felt safer than she had felt in years.
"S-sorry, I'm just... I'm happy..." she tried to explain and laughed nervously. Shouta smiled, kissing the top of her head and wiping away her tears softly, before pulling her back into a long kiss, his fingers entangling in her hair. Y/N sighed into the kiss. She felt as if she was going to melt into Shouta and if that was to happen, she wouldn't even mind it. She'd be happy about it.
