Y/N didn't expect to get sidetracked on her way today. She had been very determined when she left the house. She was kind of second-guessing herself when it started raining really heavily halfway there, but Y/N decided to keep going. It soon wouldn't matter anymore and she had prepared so long for this.

She had been considering taking the train for a few seconds, but she didn't really want to make it happen too fast either. She wanted to enjoy walking through the rain for one last time. Maybe that had been a stupid decision. But after walking in the heavy rain for a while she was getting tired.

And she started looking around more. And that's when she saw it. A small poster, really subtle, barely noticeable, but something about it was drawing her in. It said that someone was looking for help at their teahouse. Y/N wanted to put it back, but then she hesitated. And she wondered whether maybe... maybe she should give it one last try. If it was terrible, then she could always go back to her original plan, right? She could always go back to that, anytime.

She had always kind of liked tea houses - the atmosphere was so calming and relaxing and it felt like she was transported back to a simpler life and a simpler time. Y/N smiled a little, as she looked down at the poster in her hands. Yes, this was probably worth a try. Chances were the posters were old anyway and they had already found someone. Or they were looking for someone that had specific qualifications or something. Y/N's qualifications had nothing to do with tea.

But she knew how to prepare different kinds of tea, she knew the tea ceremony, she had a good grasp on all of that. Her mother had been very insistent on teaching her as many traditional things as she could (or rather as many as Y/N would learn). Maybe that would come in handy.

Plus, the tea house would be fairly near. It would only be a slight detour and if they rejected her, at least she'd be able to warm up for a little while and have a nice and relaxing cup of tea, before continuing with plan A. Y/N turned around and made her way through the streets, hoping to find it quickly.

She was absolutely drenched and soaked to the bone with all the rain and she was getting really uncomfortable. Her hair was looking terribly messy from all the rain, too, and while that wouldn't really have mattered to her much right now, when she was applying for a job it was kind of important.

Maybe no one would notice, though. Surely someone owning a teahouse these days was probably older. It wasn't really something lucrative that a lot of young people got into. Plus, most of the clientele would be either tourists or other elderly people, so it would just be very natural to assume that an old man or an old woman owned that teahouse. Y/N took a deep breath, as she entered the street the place was located on. This was becoming more nerve-wracking than she thought.

She could see the dark roof and the wooden structures from afar. It looked like a very classy teahouse - subtle, beautiful, very traditional. It seemed like it could do with some renovations, since it had probably slowly worn down over time. But it was definitely giving Y/N that teahouse feeling that she always got - that calm, quiet and peaceful feeling that made everything not seem so bad.
