Shouta was having a headache

Shouta was having a headache. Things had been going so well and he hadn't ever really thought about what would happen if he and Y/N had an argument. That's why it had taken him by surprise like that. He really shouldn't have been this surprised, if he was honest with himself.

Of course they would argue at some point. It was normal, it happened to everyone. Just because they had gotten on until now, it didn't mean that they would never fight about anything. Every couple fought, but for some reason Shouta was distraught when Y/N left her room to take care of the garden. She had been out there ever since this morning and Shouta was getting worried.

It was a warm enough day, so she wouldn't get sick at least, but still. He really wanted to check up on her, but since she wasn't showing up for work, he had to be here on his own and it was pretty stressful. He had absolutely no time to go and find her and talk to her right now and he also didn't particularly want to. If she wanted to be stubborn and sulk out there, fine.

He had work to do for now. He felt a little bad for thinking like that, but he really couldn't just ignore everything because Y/N decided to be stubborn. Somewhere inside him he was feeling a tinge of pain and he was also kind of afraid that this was more important to her than he thought it was and that she might end things over this, but... well, he had made a choice and he was going to stick with it.

But he knew that he was already feeling pretty lonely without Y/N around. It was miserable. He had gotten so used to her presence in the teahouse, the way she was moving around quietly, the way she was smiling at him and at the guests, the way she was being so gentle and firm at the same time.

But she wasn't here and there was nothing he could do about it. Thankfully it wasn't too busy and it wouldn't be too long until he could close up for the day. He just hoped she wouldn't be stubborn anymore and at least sleep inside. Otherwise he would feel incredibly bad about everything.

Rationally, he was absolutely right. There was no denying it. Y/N did have a point, but it wasn't really relevant enough. He was right in this thing. But maybe he had been harsh. Shouta had been kind of stressed lately and he knew that he snapped much easier than before.

Maybe he had been too harsh with her, but it didn't matter now. What had been said had been said and he had no time to go and make amends excessively. They were both adults after all. She could do the same thing. Shouta could barely even remember what they had been fighting about. It was ridiculous that both of them were still upset about whatever they had fought about this morning.

Shouta sighed, not even realizing that Hizashi was sitting right in front of him and that Hizashi had already been watching him all this time. Shouta didn't even want to know what he was thinking, but he also was aware that Hizashi usually didn't care about that and would tell him anyway.

"You okay, Shou?" he asked, an almost knowing grin on his face. Shouta hated the way he was so smug about everything. Why did Hizashi always look like he knew things he wasn't supposed to know?
