<Y/N's POV>
Several Days Later
I stayed with Hanji until they fell asleep but now that I have a moment alone I've got nothing better to do than wander around the halls and try to clear my head. After the recon mission and our talk I had a lot to think about and it was really stressing me out to be honest. Feelings just aren't my thing. But now I've been forced to face mine and I have no idea where to go from here.
"Y/N" I turned to face Erwin who had called my name from the end of the hall. He made his way over to me and he was considerably taller than me so I hated when he would stand closely in front of me. I nod to him acknowledging that I heard him call my name.
"I am holding a meeting that requires your attendance. We will be discussing the female titan's true identity. You and Eren have both been in close contact with her so your attendance is required." He extends his arm towards the end hallway.
I followed his gesture and made my way to the dining hall. When I walked in I saw Eren, Mikasa, Jean, and Armin seated together along with captain Levi. I took a seat next to Jean and waited for commander Erwin to let us know what he was thinking about this whole situation and how he planned on fixing it.
Several Minutes Later
"She is a member of the MP's now we believe her to be responsible for the failure of the 57th recon mission along with the deaths of Hanji's titan test subjects. She was also a fellow member of the 104th cadet corp" Erwin's words weren't exactly a shock to me but I could see Eren flinch at the thought of the traitor being right under our noses.
"Annie Leinhart" Armin was the first to break the suspenseful silence. Eren obviously didn't want to believe that he had trained with someone who would grow to betray us. I get it, but at the same time, he needs to grow up.
People aren't always who they say they are. Humans lie, it is an undeniable truth of our species. Deception is an all too human concept.
Armin went on to explain why he thought that Annie was the female titan and honestly his evidence was more than enough to convince me, in the end, my own investigation also led to Annie, Armin's argument only backed up what I had previously thought. Granted there was no solid evidence but let's be honest we've done more with less.
"So the bitch is a traitor, ok then, how do we kill her?" I asked out loud. A few flinched at the mention of murdering her and others knew that it was the safest option but at the same time not an option we could entertain.
There was too much to learn from Annie, because if there was one thing we knew... it was that she wasn't the one. There was also a lot of 'red tape' when it comes to 'execution' if that's really what you want to call it. But any way you slice it we're talking about murder and after it's all said and done murder is 'illegal' or whatever.
"We can't kill her! Were going after her with absolutely no solid evidence so just because you think it's Annie you're automatically gonna kill her?!" Eren's eye shot open the second the words left his mouth.
He realized what he had said and he knew who he was saying it to. Annie Leinhart is a traitor and one way or another she will pay for it. You're letting your morality cloud your judgment.
