Yesterday

"Pastor Nick... anything you wanna share with us?" I ask as I rest my hand on the pastor's shoulder. It's obvious he knows something about the walls and why the hell there's a damn titan inside one of them.

I ask again this time my patients running thin. But even so, he remains quiet. He's quiet and yet obviously afraid. But what of? He clearly knew of the titan's existence so that can't be what it is.

Whatever it may be I'm certainly going to enjoy getting my answers. After that day in the courtroom, my feelings on the pastor's religious misguidance have just become more and more annoying.

"All right then, if you don't feel like talking then we'll find another option... Grab the pastor. Take him to the top of the wall he cherishes so dearly. We'll see if I can put the fear of his God in him" I instruct the two soldiers still frightfully mesmerized by the titan's dulled and skinless face. It's a disgusting-looking thing. There's no denying that.

On Wall Cina

Hanji and I joined the soldiers on the wall to begin our little chat with the pastor. He's on his knees head over the edge of the wall, shaking in fear. Which is good... He should be afraid. Under any other circumstances, this entire situation would just be one huge bluff on our part. That is... if it were anyone else but me. But unlucky for him... it's me and he might meet the ground harsher than wanted.

I walk over to the cowering man and grab him by his robes and bring him to his feet. I take a step back to avoid getting violent right off the bat and let Hanji ask the questions I know they're dying to ask.

"Why a titan? What's the point of keeping one inside the wall? Why keep it a secret?" Hanji asks the pastor. The pastor anxiously adjusts his robe. He tries to put on the face of certainty and confidence. But for all his effort he's a terrible liar. He hasn't even opened his mouth yet and I can already tell that this is going to piss me off.

"I don't have time for this, look at all this destruction! I have more important things to be doing right now! Do you know who I am? Let me down this instant" The pastor commands. I was about to grant his wish when someone beat me to the punch.

Hanji grabs the pastor by the collar of his robe and dangles the man off the side of the wall like a fish on a hook. I have to admit I've never seen this intimidating and not just commanding but also kinda scary side to her. It's cute...

"Will straight down do the trick," They ask and the pastor hangs on her hand for dear life.

Wait. So if Hanji's playing Bad soldier, does that mean I have to play good soldier? I've never played that role before sounds awful... wheres's a Crista when you need one?

"Commander you can't be serious?!" Moblit shouts. I let out an audible sigh of relief at the thought of not having to play the good soldier role. I'll have to remember to thank Moblit for existing later.
