"How much is the fee?" Lexie asked as they exit Nathan's car. She looked up at the front gate and read the sign, "Central Park Zoo". The exterior looked pretty old. Lexie could hear a few voices chatting inside and the hooting of monkeys.

"20 dollars I think." He replied, hands inside his pockets.

"20?! Goddamn."

He chuckled, "I know."

They entered the zoo, paid the fee, and started to walk around. There were a lot of people there, and it was a huge zoo. There was a fountain-looking thing at the center, minus the actual fountain, where the sea lions swam and entertained the crowd. Lexie stared at them from a distance, and Nathan watched her.

"Wanna go there?" he asked, jutting his chin toward the sea lions.

"Maybe later, I don't know yet."

Nathan nodded, and they walked side by side around the zoo, watching the animals walk around in their huge cells. Nathan stopped walking and Lexie turned to him. They were in front of a large fence, showing monkeys that are swinging around in the trees. One of the monkeys, a small one, noticed Nathan. It climbed to the fence and stayed there face to face with him. Nathan smiled widely and extended his hand toward the monkey.

"Hi there," he greeted the monkey in the smallest voice he could muster.

Lexie chuckled quietly, watching the two of them interact. She grabbed her phone and took a photo of them, right when the monkey held Nathan's finger. She took a couple more photos of them and noticed that more monkeys gathered around to watch them. She waved to the one staring at her, and it waved back, making her laugh.

Nathan turned to her after hearing her sweet laughter. He smirked, "Look at you."

"What?" she asked, still waving at the monkeys.

"You're enjoying yourself. Clearly. You said you didn't like zoos earlier and now you're beaming with joy."

She stopped waving at them and scrunched her nose. "You're enjoying yourself," she mocked him, dropping her voice an octave lower to mimic his. "Clearly. You said you didn't like zoos earlier and now you're beaming with joy."

Nathan stepped closer to her, and she turned her whole body to face him. She looked up at his mesmerizing emerald eyes as he stared at her strawberry red lips, and her breath caught in her throat. They were standing extremely close to one another. If they took a single step forward, their chests would be pressed together. They could feel each other's breath fanning their faces. She looked past Nathan's left shoulder and saw Leo laughing with the short-haired girl from the diner.

"Leo?" She called.

The pair turned to her, and Leo grinned, "Hey!" They walked towards them. "Lexie, this is Kei, my lovely girlfriend. Kei, this is Lexie."

Kei hugged her and offered a friendly smile. "I love your hair," she glanced at Nathan. "I've heard a lot about you."

"Oh, God." Lexie cringed. "What did you tell her, Leo?"

"No, no. Nathan. He's always talking about you at the diner. You know, he never shuts up about you. It's like he's-"

"Okay!" Nathan exclaimed, cutting Kei off. "Oh, look! Louis' there. Let's go." He grabbed Lexie's hand and dragged her towards Louis.

"You came!" Shane shouted from behind Louis. He was standing beside Joe, and now Lexie was confused. The whole gang was here.

"What do you mean?" She pinched her brows together in confusion.
