"Ugh, fine," Leo grumbled.
The sun had already set and Joe lit the fire at the center of their camp. They sat around in a circle and adjusted in their seats to be a little bit more comfortable. Nathan sat beside Lexie, as always; Joe beside Shane on the right side of Nathan; Louis and Leo on the right side of Joe; Kei beside Leo; and Laine on the other side of Lexie.
"Who goes first?" Nathan asked.
"Let's use a bottle for that." Louis emptied a beer bottle in one go and spun it on top of the tent's box. It landed on Laine, and the other end of the bottle on Shane.
They cheered and turned to Shane.
"Laine," Shane started. "Truth or dare?"
"Truth."
"Pfft," Leo gave her two thumbs down.
"Uhm, do you have a boyfriend?" Shane asked.
"No, I do not. I don't think I'm really looking for one at the moment."
Lexie looked at Louis who was looking at the trees as if he didn't hear anything. She smirked. He turned to her, then to Nathan who mouthed the word "Think".
"Otaaaay, you spin the bottle now." Shane handed her the bottle.
She spun it and it landed on Joe and Kei on the other end.
"Hi, Joe," Kei grinned. "Truth or dare?"
"Dare," he grinned back.
"Hmm," she thought for a second. "Show us the 17th photo on your camera roll."
"Oh shit," Shane whispered as the others went "ohhh".
Joe scrolled through his phone for a while, him and Shane snickering every now and then. When he got to the 17th photo, Shane burst out laughing. He grabbed Joe's phone and showed it to all of them. It was a photo of Joe crying. An ugly cry, might I add. His eyes were all puffy, his nose was red and had traces of snot, and his face was soaking wet with tears. It wasn't a selfie, someone else took the photo.
"Awee," Nathan teased. "What made you sad, Joey?
"We were watching The Notebook, he's never seen it before. He was so hell-bent on not crying, but the photo's clear evidence that he failed." Shane grinned as Joe covered his face in embarrassment. "Poor Joey," he pouted.
Louis grabbed the phone again and took a photo of Joe's picture. Joe shouted "Hey!" and snatched it back from him, making them all laugh.
"Whatever," Joe spun the bottle and it landed on Louis and Nathan.
Louis laughed malevolently. "Nathan, truth or dare?"
"Dare."
He didn't even need a second to think about his dare. "I dare you to kiss Ms. Pinky. On. The. Mouth."
A chorus of gasps and "oh shit" echoed through them as Louis stared at Nathan and Nathan stared at Lexie.
"No," Nathan said. "Not unless Lexie wants me to."
"Of course she wants you to!" Joe shouted, earning nods and agreements from the others. They all stared at Lexie in anticipation, completely tense.
"No," Lexie shook her head. "That'd be weird. Give him a different dare, Lou."
They all fell silent for a second, waiting for Louis' dare. He smirked, "Alright. Nathan, I dare you to kiss Lexie on the neck."
"Are you kidding me?" Nathan threw his hands up, then ran it through his hair.
