Lexie was thinking about murder. Specifically, with Louis as her victim.
She glared at him as he clenched his stomach, laughing loudly. He decided it would be an amazing idea to scare the girls while they were sleeping, so he did. He stepped on twigs, scratched the sides of the tent, then slapped it so hard it jolted the girls awake. He was still laughing with Leo, while the girls-- who were now wide awake-- cursed him in their heads.
Nathan handed Lexie a container with scrambled eggs, sausage and rice. "Breakfast."
"Thank you," she nodded at him and saw Nathan's perfectly mesmerizing eyes travel down her neck, where he kissed her so delicately. Memories of his lips on her neck prodded her mind and she shook her head, trying to get rid of it. As if that's gonna work.
They all sat down on thick logs after washing their faces to eat the breakfast that Nathan and Kei prepared.
"I think we'll actually survive one week here," Shane said, staring at the trees ahead. They've been in the woods for 3 days now, and they've been having the time of their lives together. They spent the whole day yesterday exploring the woods and predictably exchanging scary stories.
"We better," Leo nodded. "Although I think Lou won't make it out alive by the way the women are looking at him."
"Count your minutes, Louis," Kei warned him.
Lexie glared, "You're dying tonight."
"Laine," Joe turned to her. "Will you be joining their little murder club? Are you going to kill Louis too?"
Kei and Lexie snickered, remembering how hard Laine jumped when Louis scared them.
"Oh, I'll deliver the first stab." She narrowed her eyes at Louis as he raised both hands up in surrender.
"The boys have my back," he smiled. "Right?" He looked at the guys, and they stared at him blankly.
"Sorry, pal. You're on your own." Nathan patted his shoulder and stood up to sit beside Lexie.
Louis shouted at him, "Traitor!"
"It's okay, Lou." Shane patted his other shoulder. 'We'll arrange your funeral."
They finished the rest of their breakfast, Nathan constantly stealing glances at Lexie, then they washed the containers and cleaned up their mess.
"So, Louis," Nathan clapped. "Truth or dare?"
"We're not playing anymore," Louis rolled his eyes.
"Humor me. You're dying tonight anyway."
"Alright, truth."
"Hmmm," Nathan tapped his chin. "Tell us a recent secret of yours."
"Ohh," they all stopped cleaning to listen to Louis' confession, waiting for him to say something about a certain someone.
"You gossipers," he rolled his eyes again, glanced briefly at Laine, then back to Nathan.
Nathan drank from his tumbler as he stared patiently at Louis.
"Okay, I got one," Louis sat up straight and looked at Lexie. "I liked you before."
Nathan choked on his drink, surprised at Louis' confession. Joe shouted "Oooohh!" as Leo slapped his mouth in shock. Kei and Shane's mouth gaped open and Laine's eyes widened.
"What?" Lexie blinked.
"Yeah, I really liked you then, but I saw the way you and Nathan looked at each other so I thought I had zero chance," he shrugged. "Probably still no chance."
