Chapter 8

Shehnaaz showed sidharth around the house. After that she brought him to her small garden. There was a bench placed in the garden. She move towards it and sat down at one corner and sidharth on the other. Throughout the tour nobody spoke to each other. They were constantly avoiding each other eye contact and were in their own thoughts only. 

The night was deep, the bright moon was completely out. The surrounding was quite except the sound of insects would be heard. The cool winds were blowing and it was giving a quite serene feeling. It was calm and a perfect atmosphere without any disturbance. The climate was like it can rain any time. But the two souls who were lost in there thoughts only did not paid any heed to there beautiful surrounding.

Due to wind blowing shehnaaz hair were disturbing her. She was again and again putting the hair strand behind her ear. She was overall looking a beautiful mess. Sidharth though was lost in his own thoughts but he observed each and every action of her. To his eyes she was a treat to watch.

Though Shehnaaz was not looking at him but can feel his intense stare at her back. This realisation itself cause shiver down her spine. The silence between them was awkward. They were not knowing what to talk to each other even though they have met each before but in an professional environment not personally.

So to break the awkward silence sidharth cleared his throat so that he can gain some attention and break this awkwardness between them. Seeing that no reaction came from her, he again cleared his throat but this time a little loudly.

Shehnaaz turned towards him and raised her eyes and thought "ye itni kyu awaaz nikal rahe hai kahi inka throat to kharab nahi"

Believing this thing she asked him "Kya aapke throat mane kuch pareshani ho rahi hai, mane aapke liye paani leke aau" she asked concernedly

Sidharth was dumbfounded and asked "Whatt"

"Aree aapko kam sunai deta hai kya, mane ye keh rahi thi ki apke liye paani leke aau kyuki aapko kharaash h na isliye" said shehnaaz innocently

Sidharth was like ye ladki kya hai bae, mane to iska dhyaan meri taraf karne ke liye kar raha tha but in madam ko lag raha hai mujhe kharaash hai, sahi hai beta. 

Sidharth was lost in his own thoughts and was not responding to her so she asked him "kaha kho gaye aap mane aap se kuch puch rahi hoon"

"ha..ha mane sun raha raha hoon aur mujhe paani nahi chahiye" said Sidharth politely

"Achaa thik h phir" said Shehnaaz, again there was silence between them.

This time Shehnaaz tried to initiate the conversation as she was getting bored with this silence and also because she can't stay quite for a very long time.

So she asked him "Kya aap humesha itne serious aur khadoos rehto ho ya ye sirf limited offer mere jaise yaani 'masoom' logo ke liye hai kuki jiss tarah aapne mere upar chillaya tha ussa to aisa hi lagta hai balki meri to koi galti bhi nahi thi, mane sirf ek file dene aayi thi usme hi aap itna bhadak gaye"

Sidharth raised his eyebrows especially on the word 'khadoos' and replied to her in a bossy manner saying "No mane humesha aisa behave nhi karta itna serious, tumhari hi galti hai tumhe pata hona chahiye tha ki uss floor par only kuch log hi allowed hote hai aise har kissi ko izazat nahi hai aane ki, to mera gussa karna pura justified hai. Vo mera office hai agar mane aise strict behave nahi karunga to mere employees mujhe serious nahi lenge khair tum ye baat nahi samjhogi tum abhi choti ho jab badi hojaogi na aur thodi akal aayegi tab tumhe ye baat samaj mane aayegi. Khair tum kuch apne baare mane bato?

Shehnaaz made a balloon face and replied" Mane choti nahi hoon made badi ho gayi hoon mamma also says the same thing. You know last week mamma taught me how to make maggi aur agar mane choti hoti to mamma mujhe nahi  sikhti kyuki chote bachoo ko gas ke paas jaana allowed nahi hota hai na buddhu. Mane puree 15 years ki hoon. She said the last line very proudly.

Sidharth was little amused listening her talks and a small smile played on his lips automatically. He thought this girl is so innocent and cute and the face she is making to prove her point is so cute. I just want to bite her chubby cheeks. Suddenly I realised again my thinking wrong things so I told her "Ya ya you are a very big girl and it is my mistake that I thought you are small".

Shehnaaz said "Chalo koi na aisa hota rehta hai, vaise aapne pucha tha na mein bataun apne barame to suniye, mane 15 years ki hoon aur mane 9th std mane hoon. Meri ek hi best friend hai jiska naam Riya hai aur baaki mane kissi sa zaada bate nahi karti kyuki mujhe baaki log samaj nahi aate aur ab aap ko ye bhi pata chal gaya ho ga ki mane bolti bhi bahut hoon" At this line she started laughing.

Sidharth was smiling throughout her blabbering about herself. She didn't notice sidharth was smiling listening her talks. After a while of her long blabbering and him listening like a obedient child he told her, now they should probably go inside as they might be waiting for us. 

Shehnaaz said ok and sidharth gestured her to go first. As they were moving inside sidharth suddenly called shehnaaz. She turned towards him and asked 'what' with her facial expressions.

Sidharth hesitantly said to her "It was nice talking to you shehnaaz nd I think you are different n a good way. I hope you always keep this attitude till you grow up and afterwards."  

Shehnaaz blushed hearing him complimenting her and very softly in a low tone replied" Thank you and surely i will keep this attitude with me forever and also I want to say that it was nice talking to you too.

Sidharth acknowledged her words also and they both left to go inside. The awkwardness was vanished between them that was before and now they started acknowledging each other presence. The same presence that was making them feel different sensation inside there body, was still present but they ignored it for a while. Let's see how long can they avoid this.

As soon as they entered inside shehnaaz father said "Gudiya itni dair kaise ho gayi tumlogo ko aane mane hum log tumhara kab sa wait kar rahe the"

"Papa actually vo hum garden mane bethe hua the aur mausam bhi achaa ho raha tha to socha vahi thodi dair beth jaye" shehnaaz said 

"Ok chalo koi nahi, aajo baith jao aur khaana khalo" said papa smilingly

Two seats were only empty so they didn't have any option but to sit beside each other. While sitting there arms were brushing each other with there movements. They both were having dinner quietly none of them spoke until they were asked to.

After having dinner and Sidharth and rita aunty also left as it was quite late and tomorrow sidharth has also office. Shehnaaz parents insisted both of them to stay at night as it is quite late and rain can began anytime but they politely refused and told them some other time they will come. They also said, next time they have to come to there house for visiting. In between all these conversation sidharth and shehnaaz did not spoke to each other and when the time came to say final bye they just slightly nod there head towards each other.

Sidharth and rita ji after reaching there place retired to there respective rooms after a long tiring day. On the other hand shehnaaz also slept while hugging her puchkoo. She was quite happy today for some reason that she didn't know She closed her eyes and fell into deep slumber.
