Everyone in the hall become silent as soon as he announced her name. The silence wasn't peaceful but a tense one.
Shehnaaz heart was beating profusely and it was like it will come out anytime if someone didn't break it. On the other hand Sidharth was standing like nothing happened and it was the most casual thing that he has confessed in front of them.
Shehnaaz looked in his eyes that were looking at her with love while her where conveying nervousness and fear. The awkward silence soon broke making lovebirds come out from their dreamland by neetu di when she said furiously "Sidharth tera dimaag kharab ho gaya hai... tu kya bol raha hai tujhe pata bhi hai aur agar ye by chance tera ye mazaak bhi hai toh mane pehle hi bata doon bahut ganda mazzak hai aur tu isse yahi khatam kar".
As soon as di uttered those words shehnaaz heart drop and tears started bulrring her vision hearing di's response. She started thinking is she that bad or is she that underserving that di can't believe that he can fall in love with her. Her hands which were on her sides clutched tightly making her nails dig into her palm thus oozing some blood out of them.
Sidharth noticed shehnaaz expressions and knowing her too well what might be going in her tiny head he immediately turned towards neetu di and said in an harsh tone "Mane koi mazzak nhi kar raha hoon samaj mane aaya aur na hi mera dimaag kharaab hai, mane jo bol raha hoo woh sach hai...agar tujhe jhooth lag raha hai toh mane ussme kuch nhi kar sakta"
"Sidharth tera matlab kya hai haa...tere liye humara opinion matter hi nhi karta ha...tu ye kehna chah raha hai" Neetu di said misunderstanding his statement and feeling hurt by his harsh words.
"Maine aisa kuch nhi kaha tu apna dimaag zada mat chala...mane bus itna keh raha hoon mane Shehnaaz sa pyaar karta hoon aur chahata hoon ki tu hum dono accept karo...bus itna hi" Sidharth said a little softly while looking at both neetu di and rita maa simultaneously.
Rita maa looked at her son who was standing a little uncomfortably while giving answers to neetu di. She smiled knowing how much sidharth is being patient and explaining himself just for her (shehnaaz) so that she should not be questioned by anybody in the future too. She got another proof that how much her son loves shehnaaz and will left no stone unturned to make her his.
Knowing how her children are... rita maa stepped between their conversations which was resulting into fight and moved towards sidharth and directly ask him once again though it was not needed but still to make everybody understand and stop this siblings conflict.
Sidharth and neetu di stopped their quarrelling when they saw maa approached him and while taking his hand in her she said "Sidharth beta...mane jaanti hoon ki tu samajhdaar aur ek suljha hua insaan hai...aur mujhe pata hai ki agar tu koi faisla leta hai toh tune kitna socha hoga uske baare mane...agar tu ye keh raha hai ki tu shehnaaz sa pyaar karta hai hai toh mujhe koi dikkat nhi hai balki mane toh bahut khush hoon ki mujhe apni dusri beti ko apne sa door nhi karna padega par mane bus itna kehna chahti hoon ki agar tune ye bola hai toh tu usse saari zindagi nibhaye aur humesha uss ladki ko khush rakhe...meri blessings tum dono ke saath hai" saying this maa caressed his head softly while giving him her blessings.
