The air around the castle has been tense that morning. Everyone was informed about the arrival of the dragon king, most of them were terrified. King Dominic has been known for his short temper and destructive behavior, but he was good friends with their king. He has been searching for his mate for decades, and that has turned him into a cold, merciless man over the years.
Alexander was sitting in his office with his dear angel asleep on his lap. She woke up very grumpy that morning, but the king refused to let her stay in their bed alone so he took her with him. Now she was sleeping while breathing softly, with her head placed on his muscular chest.
King Xander was going through paperworks that have piled up during the week, as he was busy showing his mate around the castle and making her feel as comfortable as possible in their home. He was signing a contract when he felt the little angel moving. He smiled softly as he saw her beautiful emerald eyes open. Ophelia smiled as she saw her mate looking at her with adoration.
" Good morning sleepyhead, or should i say afternoon," he said chuckling when he saw her blush. She wrapped her slender arms around his neck and nuzzled in his neck.
"hi" she said shyly making Alexander chuckle and kiss her head. Ophelia was tired but also excited as her mother was going to come visit her today. She has missed her dearly and couldn't wait to have some of her favorite pastries again.
"Your mother will be here in an hour baby, do you wanna freshen up?" he said still caressing her soft hair. She nodded and jumped out of his lap, excitement clear on her face.
"yes i'll go shower and wear a pretty dress for her now" she exclaimed, running out of the office to go to their bedroom. He smiled at her and went back to work. He wanted to finish all the paperwork before his guests arrived.
Ophelia was standing with a towel in the closet, going through her clothes to find the perfect one. She knew her mother liked it when she wore pretty dresses, so she wanted to find the perfect one to make her happy after not seeing her for a week. she smiled as she found the perfect dress.
