"beautiful little fairy" Dominic said, causing Xander to growl loudly. He hated the way the dragon king looked at his little mate, but also how he told everyone she was a fairy. His mate wasn't ready to reveal her secret to everyone. He was hoping the way his friend looked at his mate was just because she was a beautiful enchanting woman, not because he was interested in her.
Ophelia felt uneasy. the man just told a handful of pack members about her secret, a secret she didn't want out in the world yet.
"Dominic! shut the the hell up" Alexander said, causing the dragon to raise his eyebrow. He noticed the tense air and realized that was a secret, since fairies only have a distinct smell to dragons and no one else.
"I apologize, didn't mean to make you uncomfortable." he said, looking at the little girl who seemed on the verge of tears at his revelation.
Alexander looked at his little angel and saw tears in her eyes. He squeezed her hands tightly and kissed her forehead, brushing his fingers through her soft locks. He mind link everyone who heard Domonic's words to keep quite or else.
"Why don't we go to my office? we can talk more there," he said, walking away while holding his angel's hand tightly. Dominic and his men followed them to his office, but he couldn't shake away the feeling of protectiveness that came whenever he saw the little fairy. He knew she wasn't his mate, but why was he feeling this way then? before they went into the office, the Lycan king turned to his mate, and caressed her cheek.
"Flower why don't you go find your mom hm? you can visit the garden together," he said, making sure to keep his voice gentle. Dominic snorted as he head his voice, making Xander give him an angry glare. He's never heard the big bad Lycan talk so softly to anyone.
"ok, oh goddess momma must be worried we told her we will wait for her in the living room!" she said running away from them to find her mother. Alexander chuckled, turning serious as he saw Dominic mocking him. He punched his shoulder playfully and went inside the office.
"never thought i would see the day where you become a teddy bear to a little fairy," The dragon king said, making Xander growl at him.
"Nobody knows she's a fairy Dominic, hell she didn't even know before last week! She's not sure if she wants to practice her gift or not, so you should keep your mouth shut," he said looking at him and his men.
"of course your majesty!" he said saluting. He didn't want to mention his strange feeling towards the little fairy to his friend, so he started talking business to distract himself.
"so you found her huh?" He said, happy for his friend but also upset about not having his own mate. Xander sensed the pain in his eyes, Dominic has been looking for his other half for decades, so much longer than himself has. He couldn't imagine the pain of not having his little angel for that long.
"you know you're going to find her right? she's out there somewhere." he said trying to reassure his brother, making him snort.
"I think after so many decades it would be safe to say that she may not be out there, maybe she died before i could meet her," He said, feeling a horrible pain in his chest from the statement.
"don't say that brother, you would know if that was the case. your meeting might be random as well you know, like how i met Ophelia so out of nowhere," he said smiling as he remembered that day out in the woods. Dominic smiled as he saw the happy look on his face.
"i'm happy for you brother, i guess in a way you gave me hope," he said as he imagined the feeling he would have if he meets his mate. they have finished searching through the vampire territories but they were many more places on earth that his beloved could be hiding in, he just mustn't lose hope.

Ophelia and her mother were busy talking and eating the pastries her mother has brought. Cecelia could tell her daughter was a little bit down, she assumed welcoming king Dominic didn't go so smoothly.
"Are you ok honey? you seem a little upset," she said watching her big eyes become teary. She rushed to her side and hugged her tightly, brushing her fingers through her hair.
"He told everyone i'm a fairy momma, nobody was supposed to know yet," she said sniffling. She was upset that the strange man announced what she is, when she herself has not even accepted the truth fully.
"he probably didn't know you were keeping it a secret sweetheart, dragons are the only people who can smell fairies" she said trying to calm her daughter down. She knew it was hard for her to accept the truth, hell even she found it hard to believe.
Ophelia looked up at her mother and her pout didn't go away. so it was true then, she was actually a fairy and not a human. She thought maybe his father was confused as he wrote the letter, thinking she has inherited his genes, but now she cannot fool herself and believe that.
"Angel?" she heard Xander's voice as he came closer to where her and her mother were sitting. He hugged her tightly and kissed her head repeatedly, making his little giggle quietly.
"Don't worry about earlier ok? i made sure no one would utter a word about what they heard," he said wiping her tear stained face with his hand. She nodded and put her head on his shoulder, closing her eyes.
Dominic watched them as he felt jealousy and envy. Why couldn't he have his beloved by his side, kissing and hugging her? He saw the little fairy open her eyes and look at him, smiling and waving at him. He chuckled and waved back at the fairy, making her giggle and hide herself behind Xander. Alexander smiled at his innocent angel and pecked her lips, making her blush.
Cecelia smiled as she saw the dragon king being gentle with her daughter. She once met him when she was pregnant with Ophelia. Dominic saw the woman behind the little fairy and instantly recognized her.
"Cecelia?" he asked, surprised to see the nice lady that she helped decades ago in front of her. She was the little fairy's mother?
"Good to see you again king Dominic," she said bowing lightly.
"How do you know my momma?" the little fairy asked, looking at the tall king. He smiled and bent down in front of her.
"I helped her with a little problem when she was pregnant with you," he said looking at the little girl. He understood now why he felt the need to protect his brother's mate. The day she helped Cecelia when a car was about to hit her on the street, he felt a weird connection to her and promised himself that he wouldn't let anything happen to the child if they were to ever meet. guess the goddess took his words very seriously.
A loud bang made them all look towards the door, seeing Vincenzo rush in with panic evident on his face.
"We have a situation,"
Hey y'all hope you enjoyed this chapter. I figured from last chapter's comments that most of y'all did NOT want Dominic to be her mate lol so hope you're relieved. I was actually planning on writing a different book about Dominic meeting his mate but it depends on how this one goes so I'm not sure yet. let me know if you'd be interested in that. anyways don't forget to vote and comment please, love y'all
