As they get busy packing Ophelia's bags, Alexander cant help but wonder how amazing it would feel to have his mate by his side all the time. The little angel has managed to make him smile more than he's ever smiled in the last decade. He couldn't believe how lucky he was to have her as his mate, and knew that the long wait for his flower was completely worth it.
"thank you Xandy for helping me," she said, blushing as she saw he's been staring at her. Alexander smirked and pecked her nose, causing a deep red blush to appear on her cheeks.
"You're welcome baby," he said and brushed the single hair strand resting on her face away. "I want you to know that your mother can come visit you anytime you want ok? and i'm gonna be by your side all the time to make sure you don't ever feel lonely my flower," he whispered, kissing her forehead.
Ophelia smiled and nodded her head. She knew that she couldn't stay with her mother forever, and she was sure that Alex wouldn't break his promise. They walked downstairs with her bags, and Ophelia ran towards her mother to give her a tight hug. The mother and daughter stayed in each other's embrace for a few minutes, Cecelia kissing her daughter's head once in awhile. She wiped a single tear away quickly, not wanting to upset her.
"I'm gonna miss you so much momma, please come visit me when you can," she said looking up to her mother.
"of course my angel, i'll try to come visit you every weekend, maybe i can bring you some of your favorite sweets too hmm? how does that sound?" she said smiling at her precious daughter. She wasn't ready to part from the innocent girl so suddenly. She didn't even expect Ophelia to have a mate, but the way she seems to be always happy around the giant Lycan king made her feel at ease that her daughter would be well taken care of.
"oh i almost forget," she said, taking an envelope from her pocket " This is the letter your father wrote you before he passed honey, he told me to give it to you if you end up having a mate, i never thought it would happen so i was going to give this to you on your 21st birthday. but i guess the best time is now," she said, handing the letter to her. Ophelia frowned a little bit and took the envelope. They all sat down on the couch as she opened the letter and started reading out loud.
to my dear daughter ophelia and the love of my life Cece, if you're reading this, it means that you have finally found your other half. I'm so proud of you precious and i wish i could be there to hold you and your mother one more time. but fate had other plans for me. i want you to know that I love you and your mother so much, and if your mate ever mistreats you, tell him that I will be hunting him from beyond the grave. the real reason i'm writing this letter is to inform you and everyone else about who you truly are. my precious daughter, you are a very special person and most importantly, not human. Cecelia, if you're also reading this, i want to apologize to you for not telling you this sooner. I was a fairy, and so are you angel. When you were born, i noticed the healing energy you had and i could tell that you would grow up to be a green fairy, which means you can heal the supernatural, with training of course. I'm going to leave my friend's information at the bottom of this letter, if you ever want to channel your powers, you can contact him. But know that you were the reason i could gain the energy to write this letter. Even as a child, your mother brought you to me to give a last hug, and you healed me enough to write this letter. I'm sorry i could only tell you this over the letter, and i'm so so sorry Cecelia that i didn't tell you about what i am. I love you both so much and I hope you can forgive me for this baby. much love, your father and husband
Ophelia and her mother were crying by the time she finished reading the letter. Alexander was shocked to hear the fact that her little angel was actually a fairy, not that it would change how he feels about his mate. He looked over at his frowning angel and went to give them both a hug.
"Is it true momma? Am i a fairy?" she stuttered, looking over at her mother, who was upset and emotional.
"I had my suspicions about your father when he healed my hand once after i cut it, but he said that he used a special medicine. goddess i didn't think much, i never thought he was a fairy," she said, holding her daughter's hand and squeezing it. Fairies were one of the rarest species out there, the only fairy clan out there was the one in Australia. She never thought that her mate was a fae, let alone her daughter. fortunately, they were peaceful species and were allies with every kingdom on earth.
"Xandy? what does this mean now?" she asked, afraid that her mate wouldn't want her anymore. Alexander stared into her doe eyes and pecked her forehead.
"It doesn't change anything angel, it just means that if you ever want to discover more about your powers, we can. i'm allies with the fairy clan, so if you want we can find your father's friend. Just know that it's completely up to you baby, whatever you want," he said softly, wiping her tears and kissing her wet cheeks. She rested her head on his chest and looked at the letter.
"I don't think i want to do anything yet, i'm not sure what i want," she mumbled, looking into his ocean blue eyes. Alexander nodded and smiled, kissing her neck and standing up. Cecelia hugged her daughter one last time before leading them to the door.
"Take care of my daughter Orlov," she whispered to him, making him nod stiffly.
"I'll try to come visit you this weekend honey ok? take care of yourself for me," she said kissing Ophelia's cheek. She smiled at her mother and nodded, holding Alexander's hand tightly.
"I will momma don't worry about me," she said and waved at her as they walked towards his car.
After placing everything in the trunk, Alexander opened the door for his angel and smiled at her, making her blush and sit in the car. He went to the driver's seat and buckled himself up. Looking towards her, he placed his large hands on her thigh, causing goosebumps to appear on her skin. He chuckled deeply and looked into her emerald eyes.
"ready to go home my queen?"
