~

Christine slipped in and out of consciousness during the trek back to the Bio-ship. At one point she heard an explosion and flinched at the sound but drifted back out of consciousness shortly afterwards.

Christine had overused her powers, this had only ever happened once before. She had been training with the Phantom, he was particularly frustrated that day and worked her harder than usual. She ended up passed out by the end of it and wasn't the same energy wise for the next few days.

Christine felt herself being laid down on a flat surface, and a light prick on her forearm.

"Hey everybody!" A giddy voice rang out in Christine's head waking her up, "I've got Superboy, he's back to normal and we are on our way!"

Opening her eyes, she saw that she was no longer in the desert, but in some sort of ship.

"Who are you?! How did you get inside my head?!" Looking over she saw Artemis helping a distraught Gill/Aqualad.

"Hello Megan! Aqualad's memories! I knew I forgot something."

"Don't forget about Tris's memories too Miss M." Robin reminded.

"Ah, right!"

"Aw man, I forgot to get a souvenir from the mission." Wally groaned.

"Don't worry, I got the souvenir thing covered." Miss M responded.

Now that she thought about it, what was up with this 'Tris' name... She really wanted to understand what was going on, and find out who these people were.

Christine slowly brought herself to a seated position, being careful to not mess with the IV in her arm.

"Glad to see you're awake," Robin said standing beside Christine, "Other than the dehydration and bump on the back of your head you're doing just fine. Once Miss M restores your memories you'll be in even better shape." The raven haired boy gave her a bright smile.

Christine felt her tummy flip. What in the-

"Alright, no need to fret Aqualad, I'll restore your memories!" Miss Martian said entering the Bio-ship, "Then we can get back to base."

Christine watched the green skinned girl walk up to and talk to Gill-Aqualad. Wait, if this girl was going to give her back her memories, would that mean that she would see them? Christine knew she couldn't let anyone know about the Phantom. He worked in the shadows for a reason, if she were to let anyone else see proof of his existence, things would not end well for her or for anyone else who found out.

In the midst of her internal panic, Miss Martian had restored Aqualad's memories and had started to make her way over to Christine. Christine flinched at the realization that she was next and extended her hands out to tell Miss Martian to not come any closer. She felt her hands trembling, she couldn't let this girl see her memories, even if it meant that whatever memories she lost wouldn't be returned.

"Hey Tris, she's just going to restore your memories it's okay." Robin tried to console Christine, delicately putting a hand on her shoulder. He pulled away softly when he felt her flinch again by his touch. Robin furrowed his eyebrows, she had been doing that a lot. Tris had flinched almost every time he touched her. Christine shook her head profusely.

"There's nothing to be afraid of, I'm your friend! It won't hurt I promise." Miss Martian said softly in Christine's head.

"It's not that, you'll see my memories if you restore the ones I've lost right? I know we may be friends but I kind of want to keep them private..." Christine signed to Miss Martian.
