Christine had never experienced anything like this before. She felt a tingling sensation throughout her whole entire body. All that she could see was a blinding white light before she felt her body materialize and her vision refocused. She now stood in what seemed to be the inside of a large cave, but it definitely was more advanced than what a normal cave would look like.
"Access Granted. Manipulartrice, B08. Authorization Batman 02." A female synthetic voice stated as Christine made her way out of the Zeta-Tube to follow behind Batman and Black Canary to the group of familiar teens. Realizing that she was the center of attention, Christine lowered her head feeling awkward with all of the attention.
"Team, this is Manipulartrice, your new teammate." Batman introduced gesturing to the shy girl that stood between him and Black Canary.
"She's new to their whole superhero thing so, please don't scare her away." Black Canary added playfully placing a reassuring hand on her shoulder. Christine looked up at the blonde superhero and gave her a thankful look.
"Until her living arrangements are solidified she will be living here. We'll let you all get acquainted before training," Batman said before he and Black Canary left the teens to have their own introductions.
"Hi! I'm M'gann, this is Conner, Wally, Artemis, Robin and Kaldur!" M'gann introduced with a bright smile.
"Welcome to the Team." Kaldur nodded.
"Nice to see another girl join the ranks, we're kinda outnumbered at the moment." Artemis said crossing her arms with a smirk.
"Soooo, Man-i-pul-er-trise I gotta say a killer superhero name for a smokin' hot babe, but I think we should come up with a rad nickname for you." Wally said coming up to Christine and resting his elbow on her shoulder giving her a wink.
"Yeah, coming from the speedster who can't pronounce french." Robin snickered.
Looking at the boy she now knew to be Robin, Christine felt a sense of relief to see him standing and in no obvious physical pain as opposed to when she had last seen him. Her heart sunk a little at the thought of the group of teens not remembering her from the previous encounter, but then again it was probably for the best that they didn't remember the Phantom. She had a fresh start, and she hoped she was starting off on the right foot.
"It is a pleasure to meet you all, I look forward to learning and growing with you on this team." Christine said through sign language, receiving some odd looks from the Team.
"I have no idea what she-" Wally started a little embarrassed only to be cut off by Superboy.
"She said, It is a pleasure to meet you all, I look forward to learning and growing with you all on this team." The team all looked at him dumbfounded. "What? I understand sign language, big deal."
"Well, It is reassuring that you have such a positive outlook towards joining this team." Kaldur said with a reassuring smile to which Christine replied with a small nod.
"How about we move the introductions to the lounge where we can get to know her better and chill a little bit before training?" Robin offered.
"Great idea Robin! Last one there has to sit on the floor!" Wally said before zipping out of sight, a gust of air hit Christine by surprise making her stagger back. Robin chuckled at Christine's look of bewilderment.
"You'll get used to it soon enough, Wally can be a lot sometimes but the Team wouldn't be the same without him."
The team followed the speedster to the lounge area, Christine taking in her surroundings as they traveled through Mt. Justice.
