A/N: IMPORTANT - The next chapter could be the end of this book, BUT I want you to pick. More chapters but Zadison doesn't get together until later OR Zadison now but one more chapter.
After Zoe left before the threesome could even start, Madison was left wondering what all it all meant. It's no big deal that Zoe changed her mind but why did she have to leave without saying anything?
They didn't see each other until Monday at school. Whenever Madison found her, Zoe avoided her. It also seemed that Zoe was also avoiding Kyle since she was doing the same. It wasn't until after school, Madison decided to show up at Zoes house without notice. Both of them did this frequently but it felt different this time.
Madison stood on the porch thinking. Maybe we don't need to talk about it, she clearly dosnt want to, Madison thought but then rang the doorbell because she couldn't go another day without talking to her best friend.
A few seconds later, Zoe showed up to open the door. Madison stared back at her with a nervous smile on her face.
Normally by then, Madison would be let in and they'd go to Zoe's room. Instead, they just stood there."Hey," Madison finally said.
"Hey," Zoe said back. It looked like she wanted to close the door but Zoe would never do that. Instead, she stood in front of the door, leaving no space for Madison to walk in.
Madison walked closer to the door so no one could hear her besides Zoe, "Are you avoiding me because of the threesome?" She whispered.
"What?" Zoe said loudly but then quieted down, "Madison, can we pretend that didn't happen? I'm sorry that I pulled you into the plan in the first place."
I don't want to forget it happened, Madison thought but she respected Zoes wishes and didn't say anything more.
Zoe then pulled Madison into her house and shut the door, "I think we should fake break up, this is getting out of hand."
Madison knew that this would happen eventually but she can't help to think that they are "breaking up" because of the kiss. "Yeah, totally."
After Madison left Zoe's house, she ran to Gallant as quickly as possible for advice.
"Wow, Maddie, way to go. You kissed her and now you're breaking up," He said in his smug little voice that made Madison want to beat the shit out of him. "But for real, Zoe is probably just confused and after you kissed her. She's just freaking out because she may have real feelings for you"
As much as Madison wanted to believe that, she still doubted that Zoe felt that way. "What about Kyle?" Madison asked.
"No matter how much I love him, he's useless. Zoe likes you, trust me," Gallant reassured. "Just ask her out quickly, the sexual tension between you two is gonna suffocate me."
Madison smacked his shoulder, "Fine, Zoe and I have to go to a wedding tomorrow anyways. I'll tell her my feelings then," Madison said. Hopefully, this time when she tells Zoe her feelings, she won't be invited to another threesome.
"Who's getting married?" Gallant questioned.
"My mom," Madison rolled her eyes. She couldn't even count how many guys her mom married and divorced right after. "She decided to marry this guy that she's known for two months and I haven't even met him."
"God, your life is like a drama," Gallant jokes. Madison smacked him for real this time.
The next day at school was by far worse for Madison. Zoe told her that this was the day to tell everyone that they broke up. Both of them didn't know how, but word spread fast when Zoe told a student that she and Madison split. Soon the whole school knew about it.
Both of the girls were bombarded with questions but they avoided them all. Almost everyone was invested in finding out what happened to the school's favourite couple.
The one person Zoe didn't automatically shun was Kyle. He asked to meet in the engineering classroom and she reluctantly agreed since the threesome wasn't something she wanted to talk about.
"I'm sorry that you broke up with Madison," Kyle said once Zoe walked into the empty classroom.
"It's okay, we are just in different places and glad to be friends again with her," Zoe said as she sat down on the couch and put her bag down.
Kyle sat down next to her, "Did I- was I the reason you guys broke up?" He asked.
Zoe denied it right away, "Of course not, it had nothing to do with you. As I said, we're just in different places."
Kyle sighed in relief, he didn't want to be the reason for their break up. If the students here found that he broke them up, he would be in a lot of trouble.
But later, Kyle was in a lot of trouble. A student saw Kyle and Zoe go into the classroom together and Gallant might have accidentally spoken too loudly when he was talking about the threesome with Madison.
Kyle was then shunned by the entire school, Zoe couldn't help but feel bad and try to cover him by saying the "real" reason for their break up. Meanwhile, Madison couldn't care less that Kyle was getting bullied.
This time Zoe called Kyle to come into the classroom once school was over. There were no students in the school so this meant Kyle wouldn't get caught again.
Once he showed up, Zoe started speaking right away. "I'm so so sorry, I don't even know how people found out about the threesome. You shouldn't be bullied for something you didn't do, and I-"
"It's fine, really." Kyle interrupted. "I don't care what they think, Im happy after all."
Zoe frowned, "what do you mean you're happy?"
Kyle smiled, "You're single now. No pressure though, but if you are already over Madison, I'd like to take you out."
