Clay's POV

It was a few weeks after George and I got together and it was George's birthday today. Since George liked makeup a lot, I've bought him multiple makeup things. I had no idea how any of this stuff worked and whatever it was for, but I was sure George knew.

With that I had written a letter and his mum had bought a present for us to go to the amusement park again to celebrate his birthday at the place we got together.

The thing I personally found the most special was the heart necklaces I had bought. I would give him one half and I would wear the other half, just as a sort of promise to stay together and never leave each other's side.

I had left my place earlier in the morning to go to George's house. I had brought some balloons and George's mum was already busy with making everything look nice as George was still asleep.

I had grabbed the cake in the fridge and put it on the table, lighting up the eighteen candles as I walked upstairs to wake George.

I slowly opened the door and walked in, seeing George with his eyes closed. His cheeks were a little bit pink and he was curled up like a ball. He wasn't wearing his shirt and held a pillow in his arms. I smiled and climbed in his bed, hugging him and kissing his face.

George started squeezing his eyes a little as he started waking up and I kept kissing his face softly just as long as I took him to open his eyes. He opened them and looked around him with a smile.

'Clay,' he muttered, he smiled shyly and hugged me.

'Hi, Georgie.' I stood up and opened the curtains slightly, laying back down next to him. I kissed his cheek. 'Happy birthday.'

George giggled a little and rubbed his eyes, yawning after. He hid his face in my hoodie and laughed slightly.

'How are you, Georgie?' I asked, kissing his hair.

'I'm okay, and you?'

'I'm good, I'm excited for your birthday. You're eighteen now.'

George smiled and sat up. I hugged him tightly. 'Are you still waking up a little?'

George nodded slowly and wrapped his arms around my waist. 'Are you going to take shower?'

George nodded and smiled. 'Can you help me pick out clothes? I want beautiful clothes for my birthday today.'

'Of course, Georgie. Are you ready to stand up?'

George nodded and turned to the side, standing up. He walked to the closet and opened it.

'You like blue, don't you? Look, you have this dark blue hoodie.'

George smiled and nodded. He grabbed his favourite pair of trousers and I kissed him softly after. George grabbed my shoulders and he pulled me closer for a few seconds. We broke apart just a few seconds later and George walked to the bathroom.

'Are you waiting for me?' he smiled.

'I am, Georgie.' I sat down on his bed and George closed the door to shower.

I waited a while for him to come back and when he came back, we walked downstairs together. He smiled when he saw all the balloons and hugged me tightly as he saw the cake on the table with the eighteen candles.

His mum walked towards him and gave him a hug and a kiss on his cheek. 'Happy birthday, sweetie.'

George smiled shyly and I ran to my presents to show him what I had bought. I gave him my letter and he started reading. He giggled and hugged me after he read it. I kissed him shortly with a smile on my face.

'I love you,' I smiled.

'I love you too,' George whispered as he grabbed my other present.

'Because you like it so much, but you mostly use your mum's now,' I said as I gave him the big box with a lot of makeup.

He opened it slowly and as soon as he saw what was in it, a smiled filled his face. He looked at me and gave me a tight hug. 'That's amazing, thank you so much.'

'You're beautiful with and without makeup and since you like makeup a lot, there's my present. But I have more!'

'More?'

I nodded and gave him the small box with the two necklaces, hoping he would like it. He grabbed the box and opened it, smiling even brighter.

'It's one necklace for me and one for you,' I smiled. 'As some sort of promise to always stay with each other.'

George smiled and grabbed one of them, putting it on as he gave me the other to put on. I gave him a hug, kissing his forehead and his lips and he smiled.

'Thank you a lot, Clay. This already is the best birthday ever.'

'I hope it is, it will only get better.'

His mum nodded and gave him two tickets. It took him a while to realise and his mouth widened a bit. 'To the amusement park?'

'For you two.'

George hugged his mum now and thanked us another ten times, sitting down on the couch after. He ate some breakfast and later he got a piece of cake after blowing all the candles out. We cuddled up on the couch and George couldn't stop smiling.

'I love you, Clay. I don't say that often since I have a hard time expressing my feelings, but I genuinely love you.'

'You don't have to tell me you love me if it scares you a bit. If you just show me you love me by hugging, kissing and all that stuff, I'm already a happy guy.'

George smiled. 'Thank you, but again. I love you today, tomorrow and till the end of time.'

I smiled. 'I love you too, I will love you forever. I promise you that. Would you like to go out with me tonight? Have dinner somewhere?'

George nodded heavily. 'I would love to.'
