Y/N's POV

I would be lying if I said I felt confident when Mr. Lu looked through my resume and just went on flipping the pages of my file. I had put in about the languages I had learnt and my internship as well, but that was a few years ago right? He looked up at last after he had checked them all. "How do you know Qian Kun?" he asked. "Huh?" I said. This was a completely unexpected question. "He's not the type to refer women," said Mr. Lu, "How did you-" "Don't misunderstand," I said at once, "I met one of his friends the day I arrived in China and he brought me home, since I had-" I shut my mouth at once, realizing that I was talking a bit too much to do me any good. "That must  be Yukhei," said Mr. Lu, "Anyway! He must've seen some good in you."

I sat silent as he looked at me. "What kind of a job do you want to do?" he asked. "You are asking me that?" I said, pointing at myself and he nodded. "Well..." I said, "I would love to be in your software team." "You have to prove yourself," he said, "As you know, there is no spot in the software team at the moment. If you give us a good enough idea for a new game, you are in."

(A/N: So, I had originally thought of going more into details, but now I don't want to. So, there will be a big time jump soon~ I am not exactly lazy, but yeah...)

~Time skip~

Working in a company is not as easy as I had thought. I had finally finished my work for the day and it was really late at night. "The boys must be asleep already," I thought, yawning as I packed my stuff to call it a day. I realized that everybody had already left the building. The lights automatically switched on as I walked down the corridors and switched off behind me. I would have been scared if it was the first time I was walking in this building but after being in the Lu's group for a month, I was pretty much used to it, although I still looked over my shoulder a few times. "Pearl?" called out a voice. I jumped and said, "Yes?" "Were you scared?" said Mr. Lu walking out of his office which I had been passing.

"Not really," I said, shrugging. "So how's everything?" he asked. "Pretty good," I said, "I love it here." "You still denied our permanent contract though," he pointed out. "I want to travel," I said, "I already told you so." "Pity," he said, "You would be leaving after this project gets over, right?" "Yes," I said, bowing my head slightly. He sighed and said, "What do you intend to do next?" "I don't know!" I said, lightly, "I was thinking of travelling to Japan." "Y/N, do you really think that's a good idea?" he asked, in a gentle tone. "I want to live my life," I said, shrugging. "Best luck then," he said, grimly. I bowed to him and then walked on. I had been learning and doing a lot of courses online. I don't intend to stay in one place with a single profession for too long. I don't know why but this idea really appealed to me a lot at that time.

~10 years later~

Sehun's POV

My mom was nagging at me just as usual while I texted Taeyong for the meeting details. It's been ten years and nothing has changed in my life at all. I went back to being the corpse-human with no feelings after Y/N left my side. I don't even bother listening to what my mum has to say. It's always the same- she wants me to get married, even after I gave her the heir she wants. But today, it was something different. "You should strike a deal with that one group!" she said, excitedly. I cocked my ears and turned to her. "Which group?" I asked. Man! It's the first time she's talking business! It has to be a really good offer. "The one run by the anonymous lady," she said, in a low voice. "What anonymous lady?" I asked, frowning. "The one the Kims dealt with," she said, making a face.

After Kim 'Miso' apparently turned me down, mum has been bitter about the Kims. "You mean Miss. Pearl's?" I asked, tilting my head to the side. Mum nodded at once. "That's one amazing lady, I tell you, Sehun," she said, and I turned to my phone again, knowing where this was going, "Rumours say she has done every sort of job one can." "I am not interested mum," I said. "You are NEVER interested in any girl I speak of!" she snapped, "But I tell you, this is the kind of lady I will accept as your wife!" I rolled my eyes and said, "I might respect Miss. Pearl as a businesswoman, mom, but nothing more than that."

But what mum said makes sense... It would be profitable to strike a deal with the Pearl group. The Kims did really well with her too. "Taeyong, can you get us an appointment with Miss. Pearl?" I texted. "Sir, don't you know? She never meets anybody in person," came the instant reply, "It's always her assistant who attends meetings and stuff." Why is that now? "I would try and get into contact with them," he texted again. Hmm... "Where is little Sehun?" I typed. "He's with my grandma," Taeyong replied. "Cancel anything I have this morning," I replied, "I will go out with him today~"

Y/N's POV

"Hmm... Korea has changed a lot in 10 years..." I said, as I looked out of the window with a sigh, "It still feels the same though." "You sound pretty happy, ma'am," said Misa. "I am happy," I said, smiling, "I am finally home." "That's good to hear," said Misa. "STOP THE CAR!" I exclaimed when I saw a familiar figure in the central park. Misa stamped on the brakes at once. "Misa, look carefully and tell me! Is that Oh Sehun?" I said. Misa peered out of the window and said, "I think so." A little kid ran up to the tall man as Misa and I watched. "Those eyes..." I said, slowly, my eyes fixed on the kid, "They look so much like Sehun's..."
