Emilia
"Good morning Emilia, could you take this and make exactly two hundred copies and give them to Ms. Young? Also let Ms. Young know you're taking an extra hour for your lunch." Mr. Abanto, my boss spoke to me once I walked in his office after knocking, a smile spread across his face.

I returned the smile and nodded, "Of course. An extra hour?" I asked. I didn't request it.

He nodded, "Yeah, i'll be out for an extra hour. If i'm not here, then my assistant doesn't need to be either right?" He said as he gathered his things on his desk.

I nodded even though he wasn't looking at me, "Okay. Thank you Mr. Abanto, I'll see you in two hours." I smiled to myself as I made my way out of his office, happy that I got an extra hour off for lunch.

I pulled my phone out and sent Damon, my boyfriend a text.

"hey babe i have two hours until i have to go back to work. you wanna come meet me so we can go get food?" I texted him. I was never self cautious about how I texted until I met Damon. I didn't like texting with capitals and punctuation unless it was professional, he corrected me on it a lot but I never changed it so he stopped.

After making the copies I made my way past the front desk and sat the papers on them, "Hey Julie, Mr. Abanto gave me an extra hour for lunch. I'll be in at two." I informed her.

She stared at me with the same annoyed, irritated expression, "Ms. Young," she corrected. "What are you telling me this for?" She asked.

"Because Mr. Abanto wanted me to let you know that we won't be in until later to not cause any confusion. You're the receptionist.." I explained and tried not to sound annoyed. She always had some smart remark to say to me. I wasn't sure why she didn't like me.

She just rolled her eyes and focused her attention back on her computer screen. I began walking over to the door of the building, "Mr. Abanto!" Julie said enthusiastically, "Have a nice lunch. I was informed you'll be out an hour later. I'll be sure to send you the emails of your sales." I scoffed and rolled my eyes at how quick her energy changed. I swear she would drop her panties for him in a heartbeat.

I walked out of the building and headed to my car, "Emilia!" I heard Mr. Abanto shout my name. I turned with a raised brow in confusion.

"Mr. Abanto? Did you need something?" I asked.

He shook his head and walked over to me, "Please, Emilia call me Antonio when we're not in the office. I was wondering if I could take you to dinner?" He asked.

Oh how awkward. Now I have to reject my boss. "Mr. Abanto," I chuckled nervously. "I have a boyfriend, he's waiting for me so we can get lunch together." I lied.

He nodded, "I know. It's just dinner. Think about it." He walked to his car.

I checked my phone and I saw Damon never texted me back. I shrugged and dialed my best friend. He picked up immediately, "Eddie!" I said excitedly as I got in my car, closing the door.

I heard music in the background, "Hey Emilia." He let out a cough.

I rolled my eyes, already knowing what he was doing, "Pick me up at my house. I miss you and i'm hungry."

He let out a laugh into the phone, "Alright I'll be right there."

I smiled, "Okay, see you." I hung up and headed home.

I closed the door behind me after stepping into the house, "Damon?" I called out. No answer.

I walked into the archway on the left of the front door that lead to the living room. He was on the couch watching a game, "Hey babe. You didn't hear me come in?" I asked.
