"What the fuck are we supposed to do!" Eddie shouted out in panic."Shit, I don't know, he might think we're cheating him." He paced back and forth.
"Well we can't fucking avoid him forever!" I shouted.
"Don't get angry at me! We both got robbed," he said and let out a sigh. "He's going to think we played him if we tell him we lost all of his product," he said.
"I know." I sighed.
"Let's just go there and tell him. Maybe if we face him and tell him, he'll see that we were brave enough to tell him to his face. Maybe he'll let us off easy," Eddie said.
I looked at him. Was he a fucking idiot? "Why are you looking at me like that? Do you have another fucking idea?" he said annoyedly.
I threw my head back against the couch. "No," I said lowly.
"Okay then. Let's go," he said.
-
"I'm telling you this is not a good idea," I said as we walked up to his' house.
"Just let me talk. Us even showing up and letting him know we even got robbed shows a lot. It's way better than your idea. If we would've just stayed silent it would make us look guilty," he said and knocked on the door.
I nodded, agreeing.
The door opened, his body guard, Bel, who he took with him everywhere opened it. He was tall and large. He had to have weighed about three hundred pounds, and he was at least six four. He stepped aside and I followed Eddie in. Bel followed behind is as we went up the long staircase to Ziare's office.
Ziare sat in his signature chair with a glass of liquor. As usual, he had six men in the mansion who protected him when needed. One who we passed outside. Inside the house one of his men stood out on the balcony, three others surrounded the room and then Bel who stood waiting for someone to dare threaten Ziare's safety.
"You two are back early," Ziare said.
I looked over at Eddie he looked at me then at Ziare.
"Well you two didn't come here to just stare. I assume you have my money, but you show up empty handed so perhaps you needed something?" he asked.
"Boss, there's been a problem," Eddie said.
He let out an exhale and sipped his drink. "I don't like problems, you two of all people know that," he said.
"I know, but it wasn't avoidable." I said. Be quiet my ass.
"Well what is the problem? No point in keep beating around the bush." Ziare said and Eddie let out a sigh.
"We were on our way to my house. They must've been following us. They cut us off and there was a van behind us, about four men got out of it, they had assault rifles. They took the product," Eddie explained.
I watched Ziare's face, waiting for his reaction. He finished the rest of his drink. He stared at the floor before standing up quickly and throwing the glass down, shattering it into pieces.
I watched as rage filled his eyes. I let out a quiet breath and just stood up straight. He was over in front of Eddie within seconds. He drew his fist back and landed a punch in Eddie's side. Eddie let out a cough and groaned in pain as he fell to the floor.
He snapped his head in my direction. His fist came in contact with my eye, hard. I remained silent, knowing he'd kill me if I said anything.
"Hold them the fuck up," he ordered his men. Two men went over to Eddie and held his arms behind his back and stood him up as two did the same to me.
