Beauty on the Balcony

Work did come early for Lexa and she got up, got her shower and headed to work. She didn't really have a lot to do today, a couple of meetings and that is all. Her mind wondered to the blonde. All she could think was how beautiful she was and how her hair shined in the evening sun and her eyes so blue when they looked at her, how soft her hand was, and wait! What? Lexa did not expect that to pop into her thoughts. Ok, get it together Lexa, she thought to herself, Clark is someone you just met. You don't even know her that well. Though maybe you could, no, stop it. Clarke may not even see you like that, may not be into women. She focused back on her work and the phone rings, she answers and its Anya. "Hey Sis, how are things going today?" Lexa smiles, she is always thankful to hear from her sister. Things are good, a bit slower today, how about you?" Anya fills her in and then she asks her  if she would like to meet her at the club later on. She has someone she wants her to meet. Lexa starts to say, "Anya, I do not want to be fixed up with ..and she is cut off and Anya says, " don't get your boxers all knotted up, its not someone for you, it is someone I have met and I want you two to meet".  Lexa lets out a breath and laughs, "ok sis, just for you, I will be there, around 7". "great, I will see you then, Anya says and hangs up. Lexa smiles and thinks of how happy her sister sounds and she is happy for her. The rest of the day goes by and she is finally headed home. She wont get the chance to walk on the beach and have the chance to see Clarke. Oh well, she is excited to meet up with her sister and meet this new person in her life. After work she gets ready, drives to the club. She walks in and looks for Anya and spots her at a table in the back. she walks over and sits down. 'Hey sis". "Hey, you made it". Anya motions for drinks and when they are about to take a drink, someone walks up to the table. The woman is beautiful, dark complexion, long black hair and is Latino. Lexa thinks how fitting that is for Anya. "Lexa, I want you to meet Raven Reyes, Raven, my sister, Lexa". Nice to meet you Lexa, I have heard all kinds of good things about you". " Oh, really, well that is good, I haven't heard anything about you but I am sure my sis wanted to keep you all to herself before introducing you". "Yeah, yeah", says Anya." You would too if you would just give in and let that cold heart of yours be melted just a little and see that there can be true love!" Lexa smiles, knowing her sister means well and wants her to find someone again and have love for real. Raven says, "wow, you sound just like my friend, she is same way. She was hurt really deep and finds it hard to let her heart go again and be willing to give love a chance. The guy tore her heart out so she just doesn't trust. Maybe one day she will. She is from D.C. but who knows, she just may find her someone she can trust and see just what an amazing woman she is, how giving and kind. She really deserves it, she is a really amazing woman". Lexa thinks of how she knows how she feels, she knows exactly how that feels. Anya says, "Maybe we can put together a party and just all hang out sometime. Nothing like making new friends". They discuss all the details and make all the plans. Everyone is excited. Lexa is kind of wondering if she should invite Clarke to this party. She is not sure if the blonde would or not, seeing as though they just met, but she thinks it is worth a shot to ask. Maybe it will help Clarke to meet new people here. She is brought out of her thoughts as she finally hears Anya calling her name, "Earth to Lexa, hello!" Lexa looks up and she notices Anya and Raven are looking at her. "What, huh, I'm sorry, I was thinking about something else". Anya looks at her and says, Sis, you have to stop thinking about work all the time". "Um, oh yeah, I know, I'm sorry, its a meeting I have coming up". She didn't want anyone knowing about the blonde beauty she had seen and talked to just yet. She is not even sure how things will even go. Why am I worried about how things will go and who knows about her, Lexa thought. Raven speaks up and says she has another friend she can invite too that her and her friend knows and could also use some friend time. They talk for a while longer and have some drinks and then all get up to leave. Lexa is kind of tired from the day but thinks that maybe she will take a walk on the beach to relax, or is it in hopes of seeing a certain blonde? She feels her heart jump a little and she smiles, Lexa tries not to think like that but can't help it. They are friends and besides, Clarke is probably straight anyway.  Raven says, "Well Lexa, it was nice to meet you and I am going to talk to my friends about the party and I think they will come". "Great" Lexa said. "Well, I am headed on then, I will see you two later, be careful". "ok Anya said, you too sis". And with that, Lexa heads out thinking she will go for that walk, you know, to relax.
