A Proper Send Off

Clarke and Raven meet in town. It is August and Clarke is putting some finals things together for her gallery show coming up at the end of the month. She also has a bid in on the perfect building for a gallery here. She has spoke with Cage Wallis and he is actually interested in the gallery in D.C.  He wants to commission Clarke for more work because he has places he wants her art work in. She is excited because this makes this closer to being home here in Polis. She won't have to leave Lexa but she hasn't told Lexa her plans yet. She wants to surprise her. Raven being with her today helps keep her nerves in check. They meet with the realtor and discuss everything and finally, the deal is sealed. She has her building for her new gallery. They decide to grab some lunch. "Clarke, I am so excited for you, I can't believe you will be staying here and making this home!" Raven says. "I know, I can't wait to surprise Lexa. I would love to do something special for her when I tell her. I want all our friends with us when I share the news. Maybe a party?" Clarke says. "Now that, my dear Clarke, sounds like the perfect plan." Raven says smiling.  They continue their lunch and talk about the plans for the gallery and getting all of Clarke's things from D.C., and getting things set up with Lexa finding out. She heads home to make plans, arrangements and then relax a bit.

  Lexa sits at her desk at work, looking out the window of the high rise building. She has her mind on Clarke. She knows it is August and it won't be long till Clarke leaves to go home. She wants Clarke to stay but knows that is out of the question right now. She hears a knock on the door, "Enter". She sees Anya's smiling face walking in. "Well, looks you're working hard with your feet propped upon your desk." Anya says. Lexa gives a laugh and pulls her feet down and turns to face Anya. "Well, for your information, I am actually done with the important stuff so, I think I deserve some quiet time here in my own office." Lexa's says smiling. "How about getting lunch with me?"  Anya asked. "I could use a bite to eat for sure, let's go," and she gets up, grabs her purse and they head to lunch.
They find a small place that is not too crowded. They order and start eating. Anya looks at Lexa and knows something is on her mind. "Ok what's on your mind sis?" Lexa wipes her mouth, takes a drink and sighs, "I don't want her to go An." Anya feels bad for her and looks at her with compassion and says, "I know you don't. The thing is, I knew a while back that you two were already so attached to each other that this was going to be hard for you both." "I know and I didn't expect this, I didn't expect to get attached like this to her, I didn't expect to fall in love with her!" Lexa said and she leaned back in her chair. "Wow sis, you fell in love with her. I am happy you found someone Lex, someone you can love and be loved." Anya tells her in all honesty. Lexa let's out a breath and says, How will this long distance relationship work? I don't want to lose her. I don't think I could go through that, not again!" Anya looks at her seriously and says, "Lexa Woods, that woman loves you as much as you love her, we all see it. I believe with all my heart that you two will make it work and then you will come up with something and you will be together. You have to trust her, trust what you two have." "Lexa smiles slightly and says, "I know you're right, I will do all I can to make this work, I wont lose the woman I love." Anya laughs and says, "Now that is my sister, fights for what and who she loves!"  "How about you and Clarke come by the club tonight and I will get Raven and we can have some drinks." Anya asks. "Let me check with Clarke and I will let you know." Lexa says. They finish lunch and Lexa heads back to work and Anya goes  and gets ready to open the club. Lexa calls Clarke and they agree to go get drinks. Lexa finishes her work day and heads home to change and pick up Clarke. She just wants to spend time with Clarke and relax and unwind.

They get to the club and sit down with Raven and then Anya comes and joins.  "The gang's all here I see." Anya says aloud when she gets to them. "Yeah, now it's time to drink," Clarke says.
Drinks are ordered and they are talking when Bellamy and Echo walk in. They see the others and walk over to say hey. Everyone fids a seat so they can all sit and talk for a little bit. After a while, Clarke asked Lexa to dance and Lexa doesn't hesitate. Anya and Raven join next, then Lincoln and Octavia then soon, Bellamy and Echo. They are all having a great time and dancing to all kinds of music, laughing and drinking. Anya and Raven keeps getting told to get a room while the others laugh. "I am glad An Met Raven, she is good for her." Lexa said. Clarke looks over at them and smiles, "Me too, Rae is a good soul, loves with all her heart." Lexa kind of giggles and says, "I know Anya can be hard to love sometimes but it seems to me that Raven has found a hole in her walls and she is chiseling them down little by little. I have never seen her like this, the way she is with Rae." "Raven must really care for her or she would have never allowed her own walls to come down." They dance close together while holding each other, enjoying the feel of the other. Lexa feels like her heart is going to beat out of her chest, god she really loves Clarke. All she wants to do is be with her, keep her safe, and spend time with her. Clarke is feeling the same way.  

Later, they are all seated again and that is when Bellamy and Echo decide to give their news. "Hey guys, Echo and I want to tell you something and we hope that we can have your support, it would sure make things easier." They all look at them and wait. "We have an opportunity to move to Australia and work there doing what we both love and make really great money. When we were there last, they talked to us about it and we said we would think on it. Since being back here, we have missed it so much there. I know it sounds strange but that is just the way we feel. We even looked at homes there just to see and we have the chance to buy one. I am putting the beach house up for sale or maybe even just rent it out." They are all shocked but they all  let them know how happy they are and that they fully support them. "I think it is a great chance for you two, Anya said. They all agreed. "Don't get it twisted though, we will miss all of you here but the good thing about that too is we can come visit often." Echo said. Well, I say cheers to a fresh start in Australia!" Clarke said. Raised glasses everywhere and hugs were given. Octavia hugged Bellamy and said, "I am happy for you Bell, really, I am, and I guess this means we will have a place to stay when we come visit you?" He laughs and said, I wouldn't have it any other way sis." The rest of the night was spent with laughter and dancing and giving Bellamy and Echo a great send off party. They would be leaving sooner than anyone was actually expecting but as long as they were happy, it was all good with them.
