Drunk honesty

{MIDDLE  AUGUST}

Clarke has spent the last few weeks trying to sneak around Lexa to set her new Gallery up with the help of Raven ad now Anya. Raven couldn't come up with another story to tell Anya so she could help Clarke. They told Anya about everything that was going on, Clarke selling her gallery in D.C.  and buying this one and that she is staying here. Anya is so happy, especially knowing her sister will be happy. She agrees to keep Lexa calm and at bay while they do what is needed to get things in order. With her Grand Opening/Art Show, she is nervous and excited. She can't wait to start this new chapter in her life and with Lexa. She has had all her art pieces sent here and set up, her favorites are he series she has painted of The Grounders with Commander Lexa  and the Sky People with herself as leader. She has added paintings of their friend as a character. Those are for only show in her gallery because they hold special meaning. after the show, she will gift her friends with their own portraits. She has all kinds of landscape paintings, sunsets, waterfalls, space, etc. She is proud of her work. Over these last months she has fallen deeply in love with Lexa and only wants to make her happy and feel loved. The days have passed and it is close to her Grand opening and she wants to surprise Lexa that night about her staying in Polis. Clarke will have her think that the gallery is just one that is opening and her art will be showcased but then when Clarke takes the stage for her speech, she will reveal it as well as let Lexa know she is not leaving. She has learned so much about her since first of May and it seems like they have been together longer. If she were being honest, she would marry Lexa right now if she asked her. She is not sure if Lexa is ready for that, she may feel its way too soon. All she knows is that she loves her and wants to spend her life with her. She wants to be her wife. She talks about it to Anya and Raven and Anya tells her that she has never seen Lexa like this and knows she is totally in love with her and that Lexa would probably ask her to marry her today if she thought she would Anya told her how upset Lexa is that she thinks Clarke is leaving and is afraid of what will happen of them. "Well, I am staying now so, hummm." Clarke smiles.  She has done all she can do for today and tells Rae and Anya they can go. She grabs her purse, locks up and home. Anya has something up her sleeve to help give Lexa the boost and lift she needs. 

  Lexa has had a long day and she has had a hard time concentrating because her mind keeps wondering to Clarke. She loves her with all her heart. Thinking of her leaving is killing her. In a couple of weeks she will be going back to D.C. and she will be lost without her. She thinks of how empty the house will be without her, the silence that will echo louder than a thousand screaming voices. Not hearing Clarke voice, not seeing her walk through the door, not waking up to her or falling asleep with her at night, its killing her and the more she thinks about it, the more it hurts, she has tears in her eyes, her office door is closed and in a moment of hurt, grief, fear, whatever it is she is feeling, all comes flooding in and suddenly she rakes her hands across her desk and shoves everything flying across the room, "Aaaaaahhhhhhh!" She sits in her chair and then she sees her assistant run in, "Ms. Woods, are you alright?"  Lexa looks up, she forgot where she was.  "Yes, yes, I am fine, thanks.  I need you to call my club and tell Anya I am on my way and tell her to have plenty of alcohol ready!" The assistant says, "yes, Ms. Woods, and please be careful."   Lexa tries to smile and says, Thank you and I will, see you tomorrow," with that, she gets her purse, her jacket and heads out the door. 

"You realize it is only 3:00pm right?" Anya asked. Lexa looks at her and rolls her eyes, "I am well aware of what time it is and I want a drink!" Anya pours them drinks and looks at her sister. "What has got you all upset, your assistant said you scared her to death." Anya asked after taking a sip. "You would just think I am being stupid." Lexa said with a pout. Her sister leaned over the table some and said, "Try me, you may be surprised," Lexa sighs, "I don't know An, I am just scared, scared of Clarke leaving and losing her. Not that I would but, being so far apart, not seeing her, touching her, laying in bed holding her while we sleep, not hearing her in the house, God, An, I'll be lost without her!" Anya's heart hurts to see her sis like this but she knows what Lexa doesn't. She knows she has to calm her. Lexa picks up her drink and gulps it down. "Easy there, kiddo, and you know Clarke would cut off her leg before she would chance losing you!" says Anya. "How do I know that, she is leaving and it doesn't seems to bother her like it does me. What if she goes and then don't feel the same. What if, Anya cuts her off, "Lex, stop, you are making yourself miserable, look at you. Enjoy the time she has here and then take one day at a time. I don't think you have anything to worry about on Clarkes part. She would marry you in a heart beat, you know that, I think so anyway." Lexa look at her sister, You think she would marry me?" "I think she would, when the time is right." Anya smiles. Lex, she looks at you like you hung the moon, just like you do her. It is sickening sometimes how much you two stare at each other like love sick puppies." Lexa giggles and says, "I love her so much An, like I never have for anyone, she is my whole world, my soulmate, I know that, I want to marry her. I just don't know if she is ready, if she would think its too soon, uugghhh!!" She gulps another shot down and reaches for another and gulps it too. Anya knows she needs this to calm herself but also knows she will be calling Clarke to come get her. A little while later, it is close to 5pm and she calls her. "Hello, Anya, what's up?" Anya tells her and she tells Anya she is on her way. 

Clarke gets to the club and sees Lexa at the table where they had been sitting. She walks over and looks at a very drunk, relaxed but  sexy Lexa. "I  have had to keep women away from her for two hours", Anya said smiling. Clarke looks at her and says, "I can imagine, look at her, she's sexy." She reaches to help Lexa up, "Come on beautiful let's go home." Just then Lexa pulls her arm from Clarke not realizing it is her and says, "Oh no can do, I am taken!" They laugh and help her up to her feet and that is when she sees Clarke, "Oh, hello sexy lover! I will go home with you," and she wiggles her eyebrows at Clarke.  "That's good to know babe, now come on." They are walking to the door and a woman steps up to Lexa and says, "I'll take you home sexy, how about it?" Clarke glares at her, "I don't think so," and goes to move. The woman moves in the way, ''I can take good care of you beautiful." she runs her finger along Lexa's chin. Lexa looks at Clarke and is about to say something again when Clarke moves the woman out of the way and the woman asked, 'who the hell are you?" Clarke growls and says, "I am her future wife, now move your ass! !Anya smiles so big and is still holding Lexa. The woman asked as they were walking away, "What has she got that I don't have?" Lexa turns her head around and yells, "MY HEART!!" Clarke looks at Anya and they smile at each other as they walk out to help Lexa into the car. While getting her into the car, Lexa looks at Clarke while she is buckling her up,  "I'm gonna marry you beautiful, you know that?" Clarke looks at Anya who is looking at her in shock. "Ok Ms. Woods, I will hold you to that!" She kisses her softly and then shuts the door. Anya says, " You know what they say about how people tell the truth when they are drunk? You can always count on this one to tell the truth drunk or not, she loves you Clarke." Clarke hugs Anya and says, I know, and I love her. More than she knows and I want her to know and I'm going to marry her too!" she get in the car and drives home with her drunk, sleepy Lexa. "Yeah, I am going to marry you Ms. Woods,  Just wait and see." She runs Lexa's cheek with the back of her fingers softly and then along her chin and smiles.

When they get home, she helps Lexa from the car to the house and to the couch. She can't get her up the stairs yet and she thinks she might not. It's ok, she wants Lexa to sleep so if she has to she will lay with her on the couch. She don't want to sleep without her. As she is helping to change Lexa out of her jeans, Lexa mumbles, "My beautiful Clarke," and she is looking at her with such love and it melts Clarke. "Marry me beautiful." Lexa says as she tries to sit up. Clarke smiles, puts her hand on Lexa's cheek and says, "Ask me that when you are sober and I will say yes my sexy Lexa," She gets Lexa the rest of the way changed and lays her back on the couch. She loves this woman with all her heart and would do anything for her. She settles her in and she goes to change herself and comes back to take her place by her love. As she does, Lexa mumbles and wraps her up and snuggles her, smells her and sighs and Clarke smiles and cuddles back. They sleep in peace.
