Today is the day! Clarke runs through the house kind of frantic, not because of the show but for what she has in store for Lexa. Lexa is happy for her but her heart is trying not to feel the effects of knowing that Clarke will be going back to D.C. after this, within a few days. She can't hardly stand it. She smiles though, for her blonde beauty. Clarke is in such a hurry and running around that Lexa feels like she wont have much time with her and it also feels to Lexa like she is more upset than Clarke is. Clarke knows this is what she is feeling and can't wait till the showing so she can unveil more than just her new art.
Lexa had finally agreed to ride with Anya but didn't understand why she couldn't just ride to the gallery with Clarke. Anya had to get her to do it this way so she could set things up and let everyone know not to say anything to Lexa about the fact that this gallery now is owned by Clarke herself. She knows what Lexa is feeling and she can't wait to set her mind at ease. Lexa is sitting at the bar in the kitchen in deep thought as she holds the ring she is going to present to Clarke tonight and ask her to marry her. She needs to know that Clarke will come back bur then again she feels like this may be the wrong way to do it. She would never hold her back from doing what she needed to do and trusts Clarke. She just wants her with her and does not know how long Clarke will need to be gone so that she tie up her loose ends in D.C., it could take months. "What's wrong sis?" Anya asked. They were both in their tuxes and looking way too good. Lexa doesn't look up as she is looking down at the drink in her hand, "An, I think I am more upset than Clarke is about her leaving. Maybe I should just let her go do what she needs to do and if she comes back, well, then I will ask her." Anya looks puzzled. "Lexa, why do you do this to yourself, you know she loves you, what would it matter whether it is now or later?" Lexa looks up and spouts off, "It matters a lot Anya, to me! If I ask her now, what if she just feels like I asked her so she would come back, then she will feel obligated more or less. If I don't ask her before she leaves, what id she thinks I don't love her enough to want her back here?" Anya laughs out loud, Lexa, do you honestly think she thinks or would think you don't love her?" Lexa huffs, Ugh, I know, I am just, ugh, I don't know what to do!" Anya walks to her and takes her drink and takes the last sip of it and sets the glass down, pulls Lexa up and says, "I tell you what, how about figuring this out once you get there, if you feel like you want to ask her, then ask her, if not, then don't. Just don't let anything ruin this for Clarke tonight." Lexa looks at her and says, "Oh, alright, so just go with the flow huh? And I would never do that to Clarke, ever. I will always support her." Anya smiles and says, "I know, now let's go, we have two beautiful ladies waiting on us." They leave and head to the gallery.
Clarke and Raven are standing in the back of the gallery and Clarke is a bit nervous, "Clam down Clarke, it's ok. Everything is going to go great tonight." Clarke smiles a little and says, "I know, it's just that I am so ready for Lexa to know I am not leaving. She has been so worried and I know she is hiding it. She thinks I am leaving in a few days and I have wanted to just tell her." Raven stands by her and pats her back, "I know but not much longer now, ok." They go and begin mingling with people coming in. No one but just the ones Clarke has told knows yet that she has bought the gallery so they think she is just there for her art on display. That's when she sees Lexa, her breathe catches in her throat and she feels suddenly hot. Lexa looks so sexy. Now she really wants to get this night over so Lexa will know she is staying and she can take her home and show her how sexy she thinks she is un that tux. Clarke starts walking towards her and Lexa must feel it because she looks up and sees her. Lexa just stares. Clarke in her red, knee length, low cut dress just takes her breath away. She meets Clarke halfway and wraps her arms around her to hug her, "Mm, You look amazing Clarke, wow!" Clarke leans in and kisses her softly and says, "well, so do you, stud!" Lexa blushes, "stud huh?" Clarke smiles and says, "oh yes, for sure. You so have a good "Daddy" look going tonight for me." Lexa kisses her again and pulls her in, "oh really, well, if you're a good girl, I will give you whatever you want when we get home and in the privacy of our bedroom Ms. Griffin, I so can't wait to get this red dress off of you. You are very sexy in it by the way." They both laugh and share another kiss and figure its a good idea to cool down or else they will be heading to the nearest bathroom to have a quickie. Raven, Anya, Lincoln, Octavia, and others all begin to pile in and the night gets started with everyone talking, drinking, mingling, looking at art and so many people Clarke has never even met or seen come in. A great turn out. She has a big selection of paintings but her most prized one is her one of Lexa as THE COMMANDER that she will show but also the one she painted to go with it. One she will gift to Lexa. No one will be bidding on it. Time goes on and many bids have been made and paintings sold. At the end of the night, they will know just how well she did.
