Yeah, so about this chapter..........

An inhuman like screech echoed along the walls of the sewers. Each of us hopped back into the ice cold water, which seemed to wake me right up. Most of our squad members turned on their flashlights.

"What's the fastest way out of here?" I asked. I knew that something was going to happen. I should've listened to my gut.

Pollux pointed down the sewer, in the way we should've continued to go last night. I take a shaky breath as Katniss and Gale take the first steps ahead of us.

Katniss' brown haired friend aims his cross bow ahead, I'm sure he can only see what I can - darkness. Although suddenly he switches the arrow to a flamed one, and it shoots through the air. I hear something catch fire at the end of the tunnel.

Smart.

"Let's go," I said, I didn't want to waste anymore time hanging around here. Also not wanting to be the last one of the group, I sprung to action following behind Katniss. I could feel that Cato was hot on my trail.

We slowly made our way down the tunnel, the only sounds were our footsteps splashing through the water, and of course the distant screeches. I take a deep breath in as I shine my flashlight down the crevasses of the wall.

"What do you think they are?" I ask. They couldn't have released dogs, they couldn't swim through the deep water. So we can mark those off my list, and my future trauma.

"I don't know," I hear Katniss say from the front. "I don't want to stick around and find out."

I pursed my lips as I see a slot in between the walls. I shine my light through it, and look amongst our squad. This is the way out. I looked down at the dead end, where Gale shot his firing arrow.

I take a step forward, since no one else did. I was prepared to be the first one to squeeze through this tiny space. I feel a hand on my shoulder to see that it was Pollux. He gives me the slightest of head shakes. He stepped in the small space instead and began to climb through it.

He found himself on the other side, and I saw him take a couple of steps forward. My heart was racing as I kept my head on a swivel. A couple of seconds later I saw Pollux came back into view. He gave us a thumbs up, signaling its all clear.

I motioned for Katniss to go first, and after a couple of seconds I heard her footsteps hit the ground.

"Okay, Kat you next."

I pushed myself through the narrow concrete space, my breaths were starting to feel heavy as I felt very overwhelmed by the small space. I pushed myself onto the ground, and shined the flashlight through the narrow space so that Cato could get through.

After Cato got through, the rest of them easily went. I looked behind me to see a wall, which was good. The open space ahead was the only way, meaning the mutts would have to go through the small space to get to us- right?

Last was Lieutenant Jackson, she shined her flashlight that was attached to her gun one last time before turning back around. Darkness immediately took over behind her. The only thing that could be heard, was our jagged breaths.

It's too quiet.

Suddenly I saw her turn around, she was met by growling white mutts. She screamed as they tackled her to the ground.

I felt myself jump out of my skin and I just started shooting through the small space. I noticed they didn't have eyes or a nose when they had started to crawl through the confined space. Katniss pushed me out of the way as she used one of her flaming arrows to light the entrance on fire.
