"We can't expect him to remember who he was if we hide him from everyone he knows." Elyan reasoned, "Merlin knew the entire city, surely surrounding him back with them will help."

"Yes but if we let everyone see him, he may get overwhelmed" The Queen proposed.

"Maybe overwhelming him is the best way." Percival countered.

"Or the worst, we've all seen the temper on that boy, the other day I saw him throw a dagger at a fly that was 'buzzing too loud'." Gwaine added.

"Did he make the shot?" The giant smiled.

"Oh aye! it was incredible, his aim was impeccable." Gwaine laughed.

"What was he doing with a dagger?!" Leon exclaimed.

"Relax, he is a knight, he's not the clumsy boy we all knew, I'm sure he knows what he is doing and won't injure himself." The shaggy haired knight rolled his eyes.

"It's not him injuring himself that I'm worried about." Leon spoke warily "As much as I hate to admit it, Merlin is dangerous, more so than any other threat to Camelot. We all hold him close to our heart, treat him like a brother, but he isn't. Until he gets his memories back Merlin is no more a friend to us than Morgana."

"That's not true, he saved Arthur's life from the arrow the Mercian's fired." Percival argued.

"No Leon's right, we can't trust him." Elyan interjected.

"Sire?" A knight abruptly interrupted as he poked his head around the door into the hall.

"What is it?" The king returned.

The red cloaked knight took a step forward into the room,
"I was on duty in the west wing and I couldn't help but notice that the door into Sir Gwaine's chambers was open. I know your guest Caden is residing there and that he was instructed not to leave so I went to go check on him but I couldn't find him so naturally I searched the castle..."

"So what are you saying?" Leon rose from his seat.

"I'm saying that Caden is missing milord."

Looks of horror crossed the knights and royals faces. Arthur rose to his feet and cursed himself for trusting that Caden wouldn't run off.

"Percival sound the bell, Elyan, Leon, gather some men have them search the entire city if they have to. Gwaine you come with me." Arthur instructed as he removed his crimson cloak and the knights dispersed to their duties.

"Anything?" Arthur queried as he waved Gwaine over to him.

The shaggy haired knight walked through the town towards his King "A few townsfolk report said they saw a man who looked like Merlin, but he wouldn't stop to talk to them."

"Did they say where he was heading?"

"No, but the last time he was seen was twenty minutes ago so he can't be far."

"That's odd." The blonde pondered.

"What is?"

"Well if you were escaping from your supposed enemies, and you escaped over two hours ago, you wouldn't dawdle in the town waiting to be seen."
