The bright full moon was shining down on the Dackling woods, it's white light penetrating through the dark green leaves and onto the forest floor, it would have been quiet if not for  nature's wildlife coming to life as they always did at this time of night.

An old physician walked through the woods with the intent and purpose to meet those who he had called upon.

Upon reaching his destination the physician stood in a small clearing submerged deep in the forest.

"I'm here. I did what you asked and I came alone." The old man spoke to the emptiness. A few snaps of twigs and rustling caused the physician to turn in the different directions of the sound but he still could not see anyone.

"Gaius" The physician quickly tuned to see another man of age standing in the shadows.

"Iseldir" The physician returned with a nod.

The druid man came out from the shadows of the trees as did seven other people, Gaius was now circled by druids.

"I thought we agreed to speak alone." Gaius spoke warily as he scanned all the faces he didn't recognise.

"Forgive my friends, they are the members of the druid council, your request for my presence piqued their interest. And I must say it has piqued my own too. I'm sure your King would not take too kindly to you fraternising with us magic users." Iseldir answered as he tried to examine the physician's expression.
"So tell me, Gaius," The druid leader walked closer to the visitor and walked slow calculated circles around him,
"Why is it you called upon me?"

sighing and realising he would not get the one on one he had been promised, Gaius began,
"I need your help...It's about Merlin."

At this Iseldir stopped in his tracks and shot his head towards the old man,
"Emrys?"

The other druids didn't understand the significance of the name Merlin, but as soon as Iseldir had spoken that sacred name, their minds became hyper focused on the conversation at hand.

Gaius nodded, understanding the importance of Emrys to these people.

"Mer...Emrys, he needs your help."

At those words, whispers ran wild round the council, how could Emrys possibly require their help?

"That's impossible." One druid spoke, slightly aggressively.

Iseldir quickly raised his hand to silence the council member, whilst Gaius bore a confused glance at the druid who had the small outburst.

"I'm sorry Gaius, but he is right, there is nothing we can do to help Emrys now." The druid leader spoke solemnly.

"What? But you don't even know what I am to ask of you." Gaius didn't understand why the druids were so quick to shut down helping the man they worshiped.

Iseldir walked closer to the physician and placed a hand on his shoulder sympathetically,
"We can't bring people back from the dead Gaius, you know that."

The physician's eyebrows furrowed,
"That is not what I am asking of you, Merlin isn't dead, he's alive, and he's here in Camelot."

The druid leader removed his hand from the old man's shoulder and took a step back.
"That is not possible."

"I'm telling you the truth, he came home almost two weeks ago, I thought him dead too but I can assure you he is very much alive." Gaius needed these people to believe him, he needed their help.

"If what you say is true, something is very wrong." Iseldir looked incredibly worried as he spoke and shared glances to the council who had now deduced that merlin and emrys were one in the same.
