Natasha nearly had a heart attack when she walked out in nothing, but her dressing robes the next morning, as Ginny was asleep on the couch, her head resting on a pillow from George's room.
"Freddie?" she whispered, and her favourite redhead popped his head out from the kitchen.
"She arrived here about an hour after you got to sleep. Dean nearly hit her, and it was too late to send her back, so I'll drop her off later today," he explained, watching as Natasha's face dropped from surprised, to angry, to concerned.
"Oh, that poor girl. Let me murder that fucker Freddie, I know where my godbrother keeps his invisibility cloak, and I ain't afraid to use a knife," she seethed, trying to keep her voice down to not awaken the young girl.
"And I'm sure all of my brothers, the members of the Order and Harry especially would gladly help you, but Ginny doesn't need any more trouble right now. All she needs is stability and care before we send her back," Fred said gently, and Natasha sighed, sitting by Ginny's head.
Ginny was the only sister she had ever had; she had literally known her since she had been born. Natasha stroked the young girl's hair, frowning at the obvious bags underneath her eyes. She hadn't wanted any of her family to go back to Hogwarts after hearing about muggles and muggle-borns being murdered, but she knew she had to trust Dumbledore, so she kept quiet.
"I thought you boys had said no boyfriends until she was forty," Natasha smiled, and Fred chuckled, pressing a kiss to Natasha's head.
"And I vaguely remember your pretty mouth standing in front of my only sister with your wand raised, even though you were 12, threatening to neuter us all if we dared utter those words," Fred retorted.
"You should listen to her, she's smart," came the drowsy voice of Ginny, as her eyes fluttered open. Natasha grinned, before helping the girl sit up.
"This is why you're my wing girl," Natasha said. Ginny tried smiling, but memories of the night before came crashing back down in her head, and her lip began to tremble, worrying Natasha and Fred.
"Hey, don't cry over him Gin. We're glad he didn't hit you, but there's no point wasting your tears over a stupid boy who doesn't see how lucky he is," Fred hushed, pulling his sister into his arms.
"How about I make us some tea, and then we'll go out for breakfast. Does that sound good?" Natasha asked hopefully, and Fred nodded.
"I'll go and make sure George arrives to open the shop, and then we can go into the muggle part of London," Fred decided, using his wand to put some slippers on his feet, before heading downstairs.
Natasha quickly got to the teapot, using her wand to heat the water inside whilst taking out the tea brews Grace and Barnaby had gifted them with a few weeks ago. Whilst Fred preferred more of a typical brew, Natasha was into fruitier and herbal teas, so she had no clue on what to make for Ginny.
"Hey Gin, do you prefer herbal, fruity or a simpler tea?" Natasha yelled out from the kitchen.
"Jasmine please," Ginny said softly, and Natasha got her three streamers out, placing them over the teacups. She had always used loose-leaf tea, as her mother had done the same thing, and crinkled her nose up every time Adrian suggested just buying tea bags.
Just as she finished placing the last of the jasmine tea in Ginny's cup, George apparated into the front lounge, his hair slightly tousled, still in the clothes from yesterday.
"HUNNY I'M – GINNY?!" he exclaimed mid-sentence, and Natasha walked out with her wand in hand, a smile on her face.
"Hello Ginny, can I take your coat?" Natasha asked with a smirk, as she flicked her wand, placing Ginny's teacup on the table next to her. Ginny smiled gratefully as George looked at her confusedly, and Natasha nodded her head towards the kitchen, to which George followed.
"I thought you and Fred were doing the dirty?" George asked innocently, and Natasha gave him a look that shut him up.
"Well, if you really want to know everything about our sex life, then yes we did, but Fred woke up an hour or two after we finished, and Ginny was crying. Dean nearly hit her last night Georgy," Natasha finished quietly, and George's face turned to one similar of Fred's previous expression.
"Hey, I know you want to murder him. We all do. But right now, Fred needs you downstairs to watch the shop so that we can get Ginny some breakfast and then get her back to school. No doubt Harry's missing his favourite chaser, and I really don't want to owl Minnie telling her why Ginny is with us for more than a night," Natasha reasoned.
George nodded and used his wand to change into his suit, hugging Natasha tightly. "I'll go tell Freddie I'm here," he promised, and he left to go hug Ginny, kissing her head before heading downstairs.
"Wow, this tea is amazing," Ginny commented, and Natasha nodded, sipping her own tea.
"Grace and Barnaby definitely have taste, though I'm not too sure we needed eighteen boxes of tea," she remarked. Ginny laughed, and Natasha noted that her nose wasn't red anymore.
"Is my tea ready?" Fred asked, closing the door he came from. Natasha rolled her eyes with a dramatic exasperated sigh, using her wand to send it into Fred's hands, and the three quickly sipped them, trying to warm their stomachs from the chill creeping in.
"Gin, go grab my spare muggle coat from the cloak stand by the door, and then we can leave for London, okay?" Natasha pointed in the direction of the stand, and Ginny nodded, standing up. She was still in her clothes from the day before, so Natasha quickly cast a spell to change her into something warmer, before doing the same to herself.
"Right, we good to go?" Natasha and Ginny nodded, wrapped up in their coats and scarves and Fred slung his arm over Ginny, placing the other one around Natasha's waist. "Hold on," he warned, and with that, he apparated to the outskirts of London, bringing Ginny and Natasha along with him.
