Be My Bride

chapter 14

After the day that Samuel made breakfast, he had been avoiding me. I didn't see him for the rest of the week. As there was nothing to do, I busied myself with watching TV and eating a lot of food. Even though a part of me was worried. I became bored of just sitting in the house and I decided to take a walk. Perhaps I would go to Samuel's cave and see the trees on the way.

It was sunny so I wore a jean shorts and a pink tank top. I took a purse with me and my phone a few snacks and a bottle of water. I began my adventure.

I easily thread my way through the bushes and the trees and I enjoyed every moment of it.

I loved being surrounded by nature. Which was why my favorite color was green.

I kept on walking for long and I was sure I knew the way but I was surrounded by more trees. Which way was it left ? Or right?
I tried to go back to where I came from but I didn't know the direction I came from. The realization that I was lost hit me hard and fast and I slumped on the ground.

Right my phone! I remembered and I hurriedly called Samuel. My battery was twenty one percent and I knew it wouldn't last for long. I called Samuel repeatedly but he wasn't responding to my calls.

I'm so screwed now. What do I do?

I didn't have the number of the maids or the house telephone line either. What do I do? I wondered. If Samuel doesn't find me , I'm going to die here in the open p woods. I'll probably be devoured by wild animals.

I tried Samuel's number again but this time around it was switched off. I began to panic. What do I do?

I don't want to die this way it's too soon. What would happen to my baby.

I sat down on the floor leaning on a tree. I tried Samuel's number some more and I couldn't get through. My battery was dying quickly.

Samuel

I couldn't believe how fast I was falling for Kimberly and I didn't like it. She was invading my senses and i couldn't believe I tried to kiss her. I didn't want to love her I can't bring myself to forgive her for taking my son away from me. I was in a dilemma. I want to make our marriage work and at the other hand I can't seem to forgive her

So I did the only thing I could. I avoided her making sure she was out of my system so I could go back to the old me.

I never left the house but I knew everywhere so I was able to get a glimpse of her if I wanted to. I heard my phone buzzing in my pocket but I was going to the underground part of the house to sort my childhood pictures and I didn't need any distraction so I switched off my phone

When I was done an hour later, I went to the kitchen and asked Anika about Kimberly cause it seemed that Kimberly was her favorite.

" Have you seen my wife?" I asked her.

" She hasn't been home for a while now sir. She left earlier I don't know where she went to." Anika said.

" Thank you." I said as I switched on my phone and I noticed that Kim had called me an hour and thirty minutes ago.

" Shit ." what if she's in trouble what am I going to do. This is all my fault.

I tried calling her back immediately and after three rings she picked up.
