26. Battle and conquer

At the stadium the crowd cheer at the astonishing from the last battle.

At the Hokage seat, Raikage was pleased by it. He was so excited to know which participant will be battled after this.

"Tell me Hokage-sama who will be the one that will fight after this" Raikage asks The third Hokage.

"It would be the one from Nara clan and Kazekage's daughter, Temari" Hiruzen answered.

"I will look forward to this battle"

"Nara Shikamaru and Temari from the sand village, please enter the stage." Genma announced.

"Shikamaru, win this battle. Show them the strength of Konoha ninja" Ino shouted from her place. Shikamaru who now on the stage lazily wave his hand as his acceptance.

"Okay, okay. I will do it" he said

'Probably not' he thought.

In front of him is his future wife, Temari who now doesn't have a romantic relationship with him. He started to feel nervous as he sees her. He calms himself down and thinks rationale.

He is not nervous about his wife even though she is hot-tempered but a possibility for them to exist together. What if she didn't love him but someone else or they could not get together. This thought was played in his mind.

For now he focused on his strategy to gain her heart. Like hell he would win this battle. He would throw his pride for her.

"Both participants get ready" Genma shouted to both participants. Temari and Shikamaru in their battle stances. Both of them looks at each other as they observed their opponents.

"Oh, Konoha ninja are you scared" Temari teased Shikamaru as she pulled out her fold large fan from her back.

"Nope, but are you" he replied with a smirk on his face. He let his defence loose. He looks at Genma, who is a referee for The Chunnin exam and stands straight with his hand in his pocket.

"The battle will start in 3" Temari gripping her fan tighter.

"2" Shikamaru turned his body to face her.

"1"

"Begin"

Both of the participants started their move as they drop off the countdown.

Temari unfolds her fan as fast as she can. She waves her fan to Shikamaru. As she started to use her jutsu by wave her large fan it causes a wave of dense wind to be created.

Shikamaru evades the attack he know that jutsu very well. To know the upcoming, he must look in the direction of where she waving the fan.

Temari slashes her fan twice to Shikamaru who now running to his left to avoid him from her attack.

He pulled out one of his kunai from his pocket as he runs around the stadium. He throws the kunai to Temari.

Temari was too busy to notice that he had a launch his to her. She was about to launch her attack again but suddenly a kunai appeared from her side.

She blocked the kunai by using her large fan before it could hit her. That's not the end. As she didn't realize that the two other Kunai was launch behind the kunai she blocked.

As she blocked the first one she got injured by two Kunai that had been slashed at her both arms.

"It seems what they say its true, you truly a genius. You manage to injured me in 2 minutes after the battle started. Not every gennin manage to do that in certain time" Temari said
