Lloyd's POV
I woke up with a jump. I thought it was a nightmare, but then I snapped back to reality. It wasn't just a dream. Zane is gone. I sat up in bed. I reached up and rubbed my face to wake myself up. I sighed and looked around the room. My eyes roamed around my room. They stopped at a frame on the wall. It was a picture of my team. Kai, Jay, Cole, and Zane all stood together, smiling. I stood in the middle. I was younger. Much younger and grinning widely. A smile appeared on the corner of my lips.
I got out of bed and walked out into the main room. My father was sitting on a mat, meditating. There was some incense burning in vases beside him. I left him to what he was doing. My mother was standing by the window with a cup of tea in her hands. I walked over to her.
"Good morning, Lloyd," she said.
"Good morning, mother," I replied.
My mother took a sip from her teacup.
I took a deep breath and let it go.
"Cyrus wants to meet you later today," she said.
I hesitated. "OK," I said.I got dressed and went to meet Cyrus. When I left, my father was still in meditation. I walked along to gravel path. The sky was bright, but grey. There is hardly any color in the part of Ninjago I live in. When I got to the wall that protects my father's monastery, I opened the gate, walked through, and closed it behind me. I sighed as I kept walking towards the city.
I finally reached the city boarder. Only a little longer until I get to Cyrus' tower. I could see the top of the tower. I walked towards the tall building. As I walked, I could sense the eyes of many staring at me as I walked. Perhaps they all recognized me, even without my gi on. I shoved my hands in my pockets and stared at the ground as I walked, pretending not to care. I only stopped at the statue of The Titanium Ninja. I approached the statue, looking up at it. The Titanium Ninja was no longer as shiny as it used to be. It looked like it had stood there for ages. Had it really been that long?
"Don't worry, Zane," I said to the statue. "I'll get our team back together. Will you help me, old friend?"
The statue remained quiet. As if I were expecting it to respond. I sighed and continued on to the tower.I arrived at the tower around noon.Cyrus had me meet him on the one hundredth floor. I walked inside of his office.
"You've arrived!" Cyrus exclaimed. He wheeled himself over to me in his wheelchair.
I smiled softly.
"I need your help with something," Cyrus said. "President Chen made a special request."
"President Chen?" I asked in surprise. Chen is the leader of Ninjago. Treated like a king. He barely speaks to anyone who doesn't live on his island.
"That's right," Cyrus nodded. "He needs special equipment for something secret. He won't tell me what, but I need a few things. I would get them myself, but..." Cyrus looked down to his wheelchair. "And I don't know where my assistant, P.I.X.A.L. is."
I nodded. "I can help," I said. "What do you need?"
"Here's a list," Cyrus grabbed a peice of paper off of his desk and handed it to me. "These should be pretty easy to find. I need to have them in two days."
"I can get these," I said. The list seemed pretty easy. I could probably find most of it in the city.I left Cyrus's tower and headed back to my father's monastery. If I wanted to get all of these things in time, I was going to need some help. What a perfect way to try and get the team back together.
