(Kai's POV)

It was getting dark. I started hearing noises from the bushes around me. It was the unmistakable sound of a snake. My leg had stopped bleeding and hurt just a little less than it did before. I tied the sleeve of my jacket around it so it wouldn't bleed any more. The sounds of snakes frightened me, so I began to walk away from the sounds. It couldn't be any worse than this. I betrayed my friends, one of them is now dead, my leg is making me slower, and I have no one to help me. I heard the loud hiss of a serpent from far away along with the scream of a man. An image appeared in the sky of the Master of the Mind. I swallowed and kept walking away from the serpents.

(Kayla's POV)

I think I found Lloyd. I saw a two figures walking together not too far away. I tried not to be seen, but I slowly got closer to them.

"Kayla?" a soft voice said.

"Lloyd," I said quietly. "It's you."

"Kayla, you need to be careful," his friend said. "Do you know what that sound is?"

"They're serpents," I nodded. "But I can't tell what kind they are or why there are so many-"

"Kayla, behind you!" Lloyd yelled.

I quickly turned around and started backing away from what looked like a serpent. But it looked like The Master of Metal. It sounds kind of weird, but something about that serpent reminds me of the Master of Metal. Maybe the eyes or the color of the scales. It was strange. And the serpent was crawling closer to me, bobbing its' head back and forth. Lloyd's friend created rocks in front of it to stop it from attacking me. I shook my head. What's wrong with me? I wasn't scared of it at all.

"You okay?" Lloyd asked, putting his hand on my shoulder.

"Yeah," I said. "I'm alright. Come on. Let's get out of here."
