Zane's POV

I looked around at the controls. I would be starting the countdown on Clouse's command. I looked at the 3D map of the arena. The tributes all had their trackers and were all ready to take off towards the cornucopia. The arena was based on a temperate deciduous forest. Mainly warm by day and freezing by night. As I looked once again at the tributes, I noticed four familiar people. Extremely familiar.

"Zane!" PIXAL said. "Those are your friends!"

"My... friends?" I asked. I do not remember my friends.

"Please remember, Zane," PIXAL pleaded. "You have to save them!"

"I'll try," I said.

Clouse waved his hand. I pressed a couple of buttons and began the countdown from 60 seconds.

Kai's POV

As the countdown began, I scanned the other tributes. I can't see any of my team. Good. That means I don't need to protect him for now. Until they find me. There are forty seconds left of the countdown. I prepared to run away from the cornucopia, until I saw a small red bag. It was far away from the cornucopia, so I can probably grab it and run if I'm fast enough.

Kayla's POV

I grew nervous because I can't see Lloyd. I'm wearing the golden pin he gave me under my jacket, hoping I'll find Lloyd to give it back to him. Thirty seconds left until I run away from the cornucopia.

Cole's POV

I looked over at Lloyd. His face looked like he was brave, but I could see fear behind his eyes. I wish he'd look in my direction so I can calm him down. It's too bad they didn't put us closer together. I guess we'll just have to look for each other. There are only twenty seconds left on the countdown.

Jay's POV

I looked around at the cornucopia. I saw some weapons and supplies that would be useful. I knew we weren't supposed to go in that direction, but I looked there anyways. I was preparing to run into the forest that surrounded us at ten seconds left.

Lloyd's POV

My heartbeat grew faster. Even though I faced towards the cornucopia, I prepared to run off into the forest.

Five. Four. Three. Two. And then the gong sounded for us to run.
