Chapter Eighteen

Kai's POV

We still need to find Zane. How will we find him? My mind wouldn't rest. I couldn't sleep. Before I knew it a whole day flew by. We sat at dinner.
"How are we going to find Zane?" I asked.
The master of Light slowly approached our table. "Mind if I join you?" he asked in a soft voice.
"Disappear, pal," Jay snapped. "This is private."
The master of Light did as he was told and literally disappeared.
Jay sighed deeply. "I know you're still here. I see your dinner plate!"
The master of Light revealed himself and walked away.
"Wow," Cole said. "Jay, you were really mean."
"How can I know if we can trust him? He's competition!" Jay said.
"Meet me in my room at midnight," I said. "We'll talk there."

At midnight we all met in my room. "So any ideas of how we can find Zane?" I asked.
"This place is secure, Kai. It was hard enough getting to your room. They aren't just gonna let us roam around the place," Jay said.
"Good point," I said. "We'll just have to be sneaky about it."
Cole sighed. "If only we had another robot here to scan the place."
"No time for that," Lloyd said. "We have to think."
Cole leaned against the wall, hitting a lamp and knocking it over.
"Good going, Cole," Jay said. But after he said this, the floor under Cole's feet opened. Cole fell into the hole.
"Cole?" Lloyd walked over to the trapdoor.
"If we can't walk above the surface, we'll just have to walk below it," I said, hopping into the hole.
We all walked around. This was a labrinth. I lit my fist on fire to light up the way. We found a room that was locked, but had windows in them. We peeked through the windows to see if we could find some clue to where Zane is.
"Do you see anything?" Jay asked quietly. I looked around. High tech equipment everywhere. Tons of people in the room. But something caught my eye.
"Guys!" I whispered. "It's Zane!" The others looked through the windows. Sure enough, standing in the bright light was a silver-looking droid that looked a lot like Zane.
