(Jay's POV)

I was slowly starving to death. I couldn't find food or water. I needed to help Lloyd though. Where could they be? I didn't give up. Ninja never quit. I walked through the forest quickly and quietly, hoping that I would find Lloyd and not the alliance.

(Lloyd's POV)

My father walked away from me. As much as I cried and yelled and screamed, he wouldn't even turn his head. He just kept walking. He walked until he reached a shadow. And then he was consumed by darkness.

I woke with a jump. I was only dreaming. I took a deep breath. Cole was sitting next to me. It was midnight.

"You alright?" he asked.

I blinked a couple of times to wake myself up. "Yeah," I said. "I'm fine." I sighed.

"Any news?" I asked, sitting up.

"Nature, Speed, Poison, and Form," he said. "Leaving us with only the Mind, Water and Amber..." he mumbled.

"What?" I asked. "What do you mean?"

"Nothing," Cole shook his head. "Go back to sleep."

(Shade's POV)

I was sitting under a tree, hiding and waiting impatiently for someone or something to cross my path. I was hidden in the shadows of the night. Tox was dead and Kai and Luna ran off. Now what? I have to kill him on my own. I have to kill Lloyd for Chen. I looked up at the knot of a tree, hoping there was a camera hidden in it. I revealed myself and looked slyly at the camera. I smirked, letting Chen know I was on the case. And then I hid once again, playing with my knife, waiting for someone to come by. I can't strike him yet. Not until he's weak.

(Jay's POV)

I started to walk slower. The pain in my empty stomach grew. The sounds of the night startled me. I swallowed and looked around. I'm scared. I need to find Lloyd, but I'm too afraid and too tired to go on. But I kept walking anyways.

(Shade's POV)

I heard faint footsteps walking in my direction. I knew something or someone was walking in my direction. This was my chance. My chance to weaken the Master of Power. My chance to be living on Chen's island and be treated like royalty. The Master of Lightning. I could really weaken Lloyd and take down two birds with one stone. This will be the end of their little alliance. As the Master of Lightning started to slowly come closer, I gripped the end of my knife, ready to throw it and land it in the Master of Lightning's heart. He was almost directly in front of me when I threw the blade from the shadows.

(Jay's POV)

The shadows around me were frightening. I jerked forward as I felt a small sharp pain in my chest. The small pain grew into an excruciating throb. I looked down to realize I had been stabbed. My heart fluttered. It was weak. My vision started to go blurry. I can't see the person who had thrown the knife. My breathing grew faster as I collapsed to the ground.

(Shade's POV)

I revealed myself and then smirked at the boy. He was so close to death. He looked up at me. He was pale and I could see the fear in his blue eyes. He cringed in pain. His breathing slowed. I looked back up at the knot in the tree.

Get the cannon ready, I thought to myself. When I looked back down, the Master of Lightning looked like he had calmed down a little. There were tears running down his cheeks. I heard the loud boom of a cannon and the Master of Lightning was dead.
