Lloyd's POV
We sat at the table to eat our lunch. I wasn't very hungry. My eyes roamed around the room, looking at the other tributes. I saw Kayla sitting at a table with Luna, Sapphire, and Alexis. Her eyes stared at her food. She didn't talk to the others. I didn't notice Kai was trying to get my attention.
"Who are you staring at?" Kai asked, looking in the direction I was looking in.
Kayla looked up at me. My eyes widened when she blushed and looked back down at her food.
"You like her?" Kai nudged me.
"Shut up, Kai," I said. "You like someone here too."
"What ever," Kai said.
"So after lunch," my father said, "we'll go back to our rooms where you four will be meeting a team of stylists. They are going to dress you up for the tribute parade."
"Do we have to march around in some stupid costume?" Cole asked.
"No," my father replied. "You will be put in a costume and riding on a carriage pulled by a horse."
"Sweet," Kai said. When I got into my room, there were three people standing in my room.
"Master Lloyd," one of them said. "This way please."
The three of them led me into my bathroom. They had me take off the clothes I was wearing. They did a little bit of work on my face. Mostly just styling my hair.
"He's good," a voice said from behind us. I turned to find another man standing in the doorway of my bathroom. "You three, go."
The three other people left the room.
"I'm Peter," the man said.
"Lloyd," I replied.
"You're probably thinking that I'm just gonna shove you in some stupid costume, right?"
I shrugged.
"I'm gonna make the people remember you."
Peter brought in a black case. He opened it up. Inside were bright splashes of green and gold.
"Try this on," he said. I put of the things he gave me.
When I looked in the mirror, I saw someone else staring at me. That couldn't be me. The top of the costume looked like my old gi almost. He gave me a mask. When I put it on, The mask looked like the mouth of a dragon. Peter held up a hand mirror behind me. In the reflection I saw the back of my costume. It looked like I had dragon wings.
"It's amazing," I said.
"Glad you like it," Peter said. "Better get you down to the parade."We arrived at the place where the parade was being held. I met the others there. Kai wore something that looked like a dhoti, but it looked like it had flames on it. Cole wore a breastplate with a rocky texture. Jay wore something that looked like a gi, but he wasn't wearing a mask or have wings like me.
"I guess we're gonna get some good attention," Cole said.
"Most likely," Jay said.
"You should check out Kayla's costume," Kai whispered. He nodded over to her direction.
I looked over at Kayla who was standing near one of the horses, petting its mane. She was barefoot and wearing what looked like a bikini, but had ruffles as the trim. It was a color blue that matched her eyes. Her hair was curled, but still a beautiful color.
"Tributes, mount up," a voice said.
"Guess we should go then," Kai said.-----
(Just as a heads up) I will probably be writing more than one POV in each chapter during the Games. Thank you. :)
