min yoongi 😁He couldn't help but tense his shoulders as he reread the messages, his jaw tightening before he released a long sigh. What was the purpose of that message anyway? A warning? A verbal claim? What?
Either way, Jungkook was most definitely not a fan.
As if Yoongi had the audacity to announce that he likes her as if Jungkook hadn't don't the same thing! ... At least it was to his face, even if it was unintentional.
Running a hand through his hair, he zipped up his bag and hiked it onto his shoulder, leaving his room now he was fully prepared for the weekend away. Truth be told, he was happy he could be part of the plan to rescue Yejin from whatever wild plot she had herself wrapped in, but he could do with the break himself. Being home for any longer than an hour felt suffocating, the stale, yet charged atmosphere had a vice-like grip on his chest, continuously weighing him down as he waited for someone in the house to speak, to cut through the tension, to address the situation but it never came.
He wanted to be there for his sister, he wanted to support her in any way he could just like she had done for him throughout the years, but whenever he tried to speak to her, it was like she was never really in the room with him, like her mind was occupied elsewhere and his heart fell further into the pit of his stomach.
He wished he was stronger, able to withstand the strain in his home-life to be able to support Eunjoo's repetitive relapse with her gambling addiction, but he wasn't.
He couldn't.
And instead he buried himself in the company of whoever was willing to entertain him; be it his friends, or someone who wanted him for more than the surface level of company.
