Aether took Childe outside and Keqing sat beside a very confused Lumine
"Lumine... do you remember your friends...?"
"Yeah of course!! Ganyu, Yanfei, Beidou, Ningguang, Mona and Fischl! Why would I forget them?"
"And yet you forget someone who you e known the longest...."
Lumine looked away and sighed
"I don't know who that is... I don't recall ever knowing him... I don't recognise him.... but if he is really my boyfriend... then I want to try and talk to him..."
Keqing nodded and gave Lumine a gentle smile
"Me and your brother will leave you two alone but I'll be outside if you need me"
She got up and went outside. A few moments later Childe came in and he forced a smile
"Hey... uh... your name was Child... right?"
The uncertainty in her voice was so obvious and Childe wanted this all to be a joke. But it wasn't. Lumine didn't show any joking around. Childe sat down and nodded
"Childe is more of an alias my friends gave me... I'm working at such a young age so they nicknamed me 'Childe'. The name I was born with is 'Ajax' but I changed my name once I started working... I changed it to Tartaglia"
Lumine stared at Childe as he was explaining. Once he was done, he looked up at Lumine and got lost in her gold-yellow eyes. He quickly realised and looked away, blushing
"Ah so can I call you Ajax? I think it suits you better then your other two names!"
Her voice echoed through his head and made an image of their first meeting
"Ah you have a nice name Lumine!"
"Thanks! But what's your name?"
"My birth name is Ajax but I changed it to Tartaglia when I started working part time... the older workers also call me Childe since I'm so young"
"I'll call you Ajax then!! I think it suits you better!!"
Childe was 10 years old and he started working to help his family in finances, an 8-year-old Lumine met him in Genshin Junior school along with Aether. The memory made Childe tear up a little because he knew she wouldn't remember it.
Seeing him tear up, Lumine got worried and reached out to put her hand on his shoulder. He sat up and looked at her smiling
"Don't cry, smile! You're very pretty when you smile!!"
Her words made him smile a little bit, she saw his reaction and sighed
"I'm sorry that I can't remember you.. but I'll try my best to. Do you have any pictures or videos of us together?"
"Of course I do, wanna see?"
"Yeah, that's why I asked"
He chuckled and got out his phone. Opening his photos, one-by-one he showed Lumine all the memories they had together over the past 10 years. After a while, Keqing came in and stood behind Childe.
"How are things going?"
"Well I can't say she's remembered anything but... nothing has changed really. She's still our same old Lumine"
"Hey! I'm not old!!"
Lumine burst out and Keqing laughed. She nodded and caredully hugged Lumine
"Well I gotta go now but Imll come visit tomorrow alright?"
"Oh okay! Thanks for coming to see me"
They smiled at each other and Keqing left. Once the door closed, Lumine looked at Childe.
"So you were saying?"
"Ah yeah, this one is a video... it's of our fifth anniversary. We went to the beach with Aether and Keqing"
He gave Lumine his phone and she played the video. She watched as Childe and Aether played with water guns while Lumine and Keqing filmed them being idiots. She could feel the memory there, she just couldn't replay it.
There was something clogging up her mind, preventing everything related to Childe from reaching her. The small video ended and she put down the phone. Childe looked at the time and sighed
"It's already 7:30, I should start heading home..."
"Yeah of course, go home... have a safe trip home"
He stood up and leaned closer to Lumine before backing away
"Uh... sorry, it's just such a habit to kiss you goodbye..."
"Then kiss me, I don't really mind... just a peck though!"
He hesitantly gave her a small peck on the cheek and quickly said goodbye before leaving the room. Once Lumine was alone, Qiqi came in and let down the bed so she could lie down.
"So... you... can't remember anything...?"
"Ah no... I remember everything except that ginger haired male... he's supposedly my boyfriend but I don't know anymore"
"Well... Qiqi can't remember... anything either... but you aren't like Qiqi... so you will remember"
Lumine smiled at the girl and she took a long stick to turn off the lights in the room
"Good... night"
The door closed and Lumine stared out the window for a while before closing her eyes to sleep. Qiqi's words replayed in her mind
You will remember
She hopes that one day... a miracle occurs and she can remember everything about Childe

Aha hi I'm not good at writing this kinda stuff so pls don't kill me I know it's bad.
But yeah I'm really tired of everything cuz my brother just slapped me awake and my cheek still hurts. My mom also straight up said she didn't care about me so wonderful thoughts are running through my head right now ^^
Anyways, enough of me-
