From Zero~ A Chilumi AU

After finishing her food, she quickly ran into her room and joined the group call the girls were having. Once she connected in, all she heard was a bunch of screaming and shouting.

"HEY OH MY GoSHHH LUMINEEE YOU FINALLY JOINEDDD"

Lumine heard Ningguang sighing and straight after, she kicked Beidou out of the call

"My apologies Lumine... Please excuse her, she's... a bit drunk and I'm trying my best to sober her up..."

"Ah no its fine, it's interesting to see her different personas while she's drunk"

Ganyu was softly giggling in the background and Fischl joined the call

"Our great astrologist hath summoned thee to converse with her dear friends"

Her fancy tone made all the girls laugh and they spent another hour talking and updating each other on random out-of-school events. Once most of them left the call, the last two left were Lumine and Ganyu. Both of them have been rather quiet during the whole hour and now was their time to talk.

"Hey Lumine, I sense there's something bothering you... want to talk about it?"

"Yeah... its about Childe..."

"Ahh, I figured"

Her voice got calmer and much more comforting. Lumine curled up in her blanket as she started venting out everything that had happened. Starting from the first few moments to everything that happened today. Listening intently, Ganyu slowly hummed and giggled a little.

"Well... seems like your brother is no stranger to this kind of thing. Honesty is indeed an important quality in a relationship... especially when you have lost memory"

"B-but I can't tell him the truth!"

Ganyu suddenly got stern and serious

"Can't or won't? You just don't want to because you're afraid to loose him. You do love him, you just have to admit it to yourself. Once you've dealt with yourself, open up and let him help. Maybe it's may not be the same and it might never go back to what it used to be... but I know that you still have those feelings even if you don't remember. Take things slowly, if something gets too much then tell him. It's the same with me and Xiao, he was never one for affection at first but after a while, he craved it-"

An angry and annoyed voice interrupted her

"Hey! Now watch who you're telling all this to. It better not be someone random..."

The voice growled and Ganyu quickly reassured him

"Nonono!! Xiao baby, don't misunderstand... it's just Lumine"

"Hmm... fine. Let me cuddle with you later and I'll forgive you"

Lumine heard the door close and she, along with Ganyu laughed

"Did he know that I could hear him?"

"Heh, who knows? I don't know what I did to deserve that tsundere but I love him. Now, take all that I've said and make sure you remember it. Mend the broken relationship before it gets unfixable. Update me once you've done something alright? I gotta give a certain someone some cuddles..."

Lumine chuckled and ended the call. Putting her phone down to charge, she took one of her exercise books and did some work before falling asleep

"Hey Lumi, wake up you're gonna be late"

Her brother's sleepy, tired voice awoke her from her sleep and she saw him sweeping open the curtains. The rays of light pierced through the dark room, illuminating it. Aether gave Lumine a small nod before retreating into his room

"I'm coming down with a fever so I won't be going to school today... say hi to Keqing for me please..."

His weak voice tried its best to reach the ears of Lumine but she barely heard it. She dressed for school and brushed down her hair. Doing her usual routine then making a small lunch for herself and then she walked out the door, locking it behind her.

Waiting at their usual spot, Keqing arrived and was surprised to see only Lumine standing there. Quickly asking where Aether is, Keqing then rushed off since her schedule for the day was packed. After another five minutes, Childe gently put his hand onto Lumine's shoulder

"Childe!"

"Hey Lumine"

His tone seemed off... Lumine looked at his appearence more closely and then realised that something wasn't right. His hair was a mess, clumps for hair flying all over the place and hair falling onto his eyes. He had visible dark rings around his eyes and his clothes were all ruffled.

"Hey... are you alright?"

"Yeah, Im fine... just a little tired I suppose"

He rubbed his eyes and swept his hair. Lumine tip-toed and brushed his hair down a little bit. She fussed over his hair and clothes for a good few minutes until she thought he looked presentable.

"Hey... I wanted to talk to you a bit but you don't seem well. You wanna meet up after school?"

He nodded and Lumine quickly gave him a small hug before rushing off. He sighed and walked towards his University. Both their school days started and what came after would shape their relationship... maybe for the better, or maybe for the worse...

Edit: I actually finished this chapter about 8 hours before it was actually posted and I didn't post it cuz writing on a computer is weird for me ;-;
I was in school while writing it so I couldn't use my phone, then when I COULD use my phone I logged straight onto Genshin and played the new events... so yeah those are my reasons ^^'
