Breaking the kiss, Childe blinked a few times to make sure he wasn't dreaming. Lumine lay her head on his chest and smiled

"That was nice... your lips are soft..."

Her tone was drowsy and after a while of silence, Ajax looked down to see that she had her eyes closed.

"You awake...?"

"Mhmm... you're very warm..."

At this point, Childe's face had gone completely red. He had no idea why Lumine was acting like this but he didn't hate it. In fact, he enjoyed it a lot. It reminded him of the past times, before Lumine had lost contact with all her memories concerning him.

Lumine knew this was right, being with Childe felt so perfect it was like a dream. Yet even with all these happy emotions, Lumine couldn't find the source. Whenever she was with Ajax, it always felt right but when she tried to find out the reasons behind her feelings, she was always blocked. It was like something was preventing her from knowing. Something was preventing her from remembering.

"Lumine? You there?"

"Huh?"

Lumine looked up at Childe and he chuckled

"Were you not listening? I asked what you wanted for lunch"

"O-oh.. uh I don't really mind"

"Would sandwiches do? I'm feeling lazy"

Lumine laughed and nodded. Ajax stood up and went into the kitchen, leaving Lumine alone. She wrapped herself with the blanket and then rest her head on the couch. She mumbled her thoughts out loud

"Hmm... maybe I can dig around my room for anything that might help me remember stuff..."

She sat up and looked around. Seeing multiple photo frames faced down and a half open box peaked her interest.

She quickly got up and flipped up a few of the photo frames. In most of the pictures she could recognise herself and Childe but younger. The dates written were all when Lumine was the ages of 12-15. She carefully placed the photo frames back to their original position and she started to walk towards the box until Childe called out her name

"Lumine!! Lunch is ready!!!"

Sighing, Lumine ran to the dining table and started eating the food Ajax had prepared. They both silently finished the food and Lumine helped wash up the dishes.

Once settling back down onto the couch, Childe made some suggestions on what to do next

"We could go out for a walk? Or maybe you wanna play some games?"

"Hmm... I wanna play a few games then we can go out on a walk!! Well, the walk would probably be you walking me home to be honest..."

He laughed and nodded.

"Sure I'll walk you home. So... what game you wanna play?"

After deciding on a few games to play, they decided the order and started up the first game. A few hours passed since they started gaming and Lumine's voice was growing a little hoarse due to Childe having no mercy on her

"Jeez! Stop killing me already!!!"

"Haha, no can do~ I'm gonna keep spawn killing you until you find a way to escape~~"

Lumine was on the verge of rage quitting and she thought of an way to get back at Childe. She threw the blanket in his face and killed his character.

"HA!! I GOT YOU!!!"

The timer ended with Childe getting 20 times as many kills as Lumine did.

"You still lost though-"

"Oh shut up you bully"

Childe folded the blanket and stood up, stretching his arms up and letting out a yawn.

"Well, it's time for you to go home don't you think?"

"Mhmm, it really is. Aether is gonna strangle me when I get home."

Ajax laughed as he put on his jacket, Lumine slipped her shoes on and sling her bag over her shoulders. After turning off the aircon, Childe ran to open the door for Lumine.

Hand in hand, they started to walk to Lumine's house. The awkward silence was killing Lumine so she tried to think of a question she could ask but Childe beat her to it.

"Hey Lumine, could I ask you something?"

"Yeah sure, what is it?"

Childe lightly squeezed her hand before asking his question

"So yesterday when i went into your room to drop off the gift box I gave you... but I saw a really pretty box sitting on top of one of your high shelves. I didn't open it since it didn't belong to me, but it's been poking at me the whole time... do you know whats in there?"

"Box...?"

Lumine swore there was no such box on one of her high shelves. In fact, she speciunever used them because they were too high up.

"Honestly, I don't know what's in there either. I can check and I'll tell you the next time we meet"

HI so, this is a rushed chapter bc I'm going to school tmr and I'm trying not to stay up late. I spent the whole of today drawing soo... I rushed this <3
