"Tell the teachers I'm not going to school today, tell them I'm sick or something."

Lumine ran off without saying another word and Aether couldn't stop her

"Lumine wait!!!"

"Just text her later, she's never gonna give up until she finds out where he is"

The other two watched as her short blonde hair bobbed up and down. She ran to Childe's house and saw the lights on meaning someone was inside. Lumine ran up to the door and rang the doorbell before knocking a couple times.

"Come in"

Lumine heard his voice behind the door and she carefully opened the door to see Childe laying on his couch.

"Oh hey Lumine"

"Why are you so relaxed?"

Childe sat up and gave Lumine the most confused face ever

"I dont have to go to Uni today, shouldn't you be at school?"

Lumine internally facepalmed and slapped the top of his head.

"You made me worry for nothing!! Ugh, I can't even go to school anymore cuz I'd be extremely late!!!"

She glared at Childe as he laughed uncontrollably.

"Did you think I died or something?"

"YES"

Lumine sat beside him and she looked at what he was doing. He was binge watching an anime on CrunchyRoll with some snacks next to him. Lumine just sighed as she quietly snuggled closer to him.

"You cold?"

Lumine hummed and Childe got up. He disappeared into a room to reappear with a set of clothes.

"Here, you left some clothes here with me from when you used to stay over a lot."

Obviously the memory hurt Childe a little so Lumine didn't pry on further. Childe gave the clothes to Lumine and she locked herself in a room to change out of her uniform. Childe took a blanket and once Lumine came out of the room, he took the uniform and put it in a spare bag.

"So what do you wanna do now? I was just watching Re:zero Season 2 but I mean I can save that for later. Right now, since you're already here... I wanted to spend some time with you"

Lumine giggled quietly and Childe wrapped her in the blanket he took. They both sat in silence for a while before Lumine opened her mouth to ask a questions.

"So you wanna just chat?"

"Sure, what about?"

Lumine thought carefully about what to talk about as Ajax just waited for her suggestions.

"Hmm... would you mind telling me about what our relationship was like in the past? I'm kinda confused"

"I guess it wouldn't hurt to tell you..."

He fell silent and Lumine snuggled into the blanket. The aircon blew ice cold air but it was expected since Ajax is from Snezhnaya and he liked the coldness. Lumine gazed into his light blue eyes and he started speaking.

"Well, if we're gonna go back to the start... might as well tell you about our starting. Uhh... I was 10 and you were about 8. We were close friends because our parents were co-workers and originally we started this whole dating thing as a joke but... I kinda grew feelings for your dumbass and we started getting closer and closer after 'dating' for two years. Then on our second anniversary, you asked whether if I actually loved you and well of course I said yes. So yeah, thats how we started"

Lumine couldn't hold back her laughter and the male smiled at the silly starting of their relationship. The girl teared up a little from laughing too hard and Childe soon joined in.

"Alright alright! Stop laughing now!!"

"I-I can't- pfft haha!!"

After a while of laughing she finally stopped and took a deep breath

"Jee! Never thought we would've started like that!"

"What did you expect? We were literal children!!"

Lumine smiled and eagerly looked at Ajax, encouraging him to carry on talking of their past

"Once we started truthfully dating, the school started calling us 'the best couple' and it kinda stuck until I graduated. Of course, many rumors about us cheating and not really having feelings floated around but as you can guess, it didn't really separate us"

"Keep telling me about the starting! What was the first most memorable date we had?"

Reminiscing the past pained Childe to know Lumine couldn't remember anything but it also brought back happy memories.

"Well, the happiest date we had in the first three years was when we went on that school trip around Teyvat. We had a date in each region but the best one was when we were in Liyue. We ran off and found a lot of different things to do together."

Lumine carried on asking him about all the past dates they went on, the dumb arguments they had together as well as everything else they did together. Then it came to the questions neither Childe or Lumine wanted to answer or know about.

"Hey uh... I don't know if I should really ask but, what were we like before my accident?"

"Mm... I'd prefer not to remember it but since you asked, I can tell you. We were super close and I was actually thinking of letting you live with me... that was what I wanted to ask you on our dinner date. Well I don't think thats happening anymore but thats what I was thinking. You used to stay over a lot and you did stay here for a week."

Lumine thought about it and shifted closer to Ajax making him sub-conciously embrace her in a hug. Though Lumine thought she should break the hug, her heart told her to stay. Something about the comforting aura he gave off lured her to stay.

"Hey... do you want to stop? We've been hugging for a while and I don't want to make you uncomfortable"

She didn't say anything. Childe was about to break the hug himself when Lumine put her hands on his chest and reached up to kiss him on the lips

ehe yeah I got dat double update :p

so this chapter was focusing more on chilumi but it felt kinda awkward for me cuz I'm not used to writing female x male ships 0-0 (aka i likes gaysss)
