"Teka, seryoso ba 'to? Baka naman sumemplang 'tong XMAX mo?"
My forehead creased. "What's sumemplang?" I asked. I just heard it now.
He stared at me for a moment. "Yung matumba ang motor, ganoon," he said like I should know it in the first place.
"Ah, like I'm driving my motor. Then, forgot about it and let go of the handle. Tapos, we got into accident and then---"
"T-Teka, teka, teka. Ganyan ka ba talaga ka-advance mag-isip? Parang ayoko ng magpa-hatid, ibabangga mo yata talaga," he said in horror.
I rolled my eyes. "Bahala ka. I'm being a good person here and offering you a ride to your house. If you won't accept it, then, it's not my loss," I said and wore my helmet again.
I rode on my motor again and turned to him. He looks so hesitant. I'm going to get the other helmet from him when he wore it.
"Sige na. Pahatid na lang. Kaysa naman mabulok ako rito sa kahihintay. Wala namang nadaan," he said and rode on the back.
I suddenly gulped. We're too close!
"Saan ba ako pwedeng kumapit dito? Ayokong mahulog sa kalsada. Ang saklap non," he said.
I sighed and tried to look at him. "You're so nosy 'no? You're so daming complaints. Could you please relax?" I asked.
He's getting into my nerves. I'm getting irritated with how talkative he is. He doesn't run out of words to say.
"Ah, ay putangina!"
I laughed at his reaction. I just teased him. I started the motor a little and it startled him. He doesn't know where to hold!
"Hold onto my shoulder. It's fine," I said and close the shield of my helmet.
I drove away when he hold onto my shoulder. As in, hold. Super duper hold. For a moment, I thought I was carrying him.
"Pwede ko bang hawakan ang buhok mo?! Nalilipad sa mukha ko! Wala akong makita!" He shouted. He really have to shout because I would not hear whatever he wants to say if it's just in his normal voice.
I chuckled. "Okay! It's fine!" I answered.
I'm getting cold. I'm just wearing shorts and a sweater. We're still kilometers away from his village.
"Ang lamig!" He shouted then laughed.
I slowed down so the air wouldn't be that strong. I could also feel that he relaxed a bit. His hold on my shoulder wasn't that tight anymore.
"Kuya, sa Pridonte po!" Jack said when the guard stopped us from entering the village.
"Ah, utoy, ikaw pala. Pasok na kayo," the guard said.
I drove inside. I pulled up the shield of my helmet and looked at him sideways. "What street?" I asked and looked at my front again.
"Sa Sunflower Street. Tapos yung patatlong bahay mula roon sa kanto," he said. I nodded. It's three streets away from Clark's. A bit far if done in walking.
"Here," I uttered and stopped the motor in front of a large house. It wasn't that huge but enough for a family. It's a 2 storey house.
He got off from the motor and I just removed my helmet. He gave to me the helmet and smiled. "Salamat sa pag-hatid. Gusto mo bang pumasok muna?" He asked.
I shot a brow up. "Inviting me over your house in the middle of the night?"
He sighed. "Englishera ka ba talaga?" He asked again.
