"Come on, bro. Just go with me."

I raised my middle finger at James who went here at my cubicle in New Zen Inc. main branch. I was actually wondering why he was here because he has fucking work.

"Mr. Kiwi pilot, this is not an airport. Why are you here?" I asked him and continued sketching the new project of our team.

Well, I'm not the one who will sign the project. I don't have a license yet. I'm just assigned to do the design of the new rest house in Queenstown of an influencial person.

He sighed and put something on my table. "Ticket. That's free. I'll be the one to pilot that flight. I'll be expecting you there next week," he said and left me.

I looked at the ticket he placed on my table. My lips rose as I stared at the date. It's two days earlier than my scheduled flight with my team to the Philippines.

Tumayo ako, hawak-hawak ang ticket, at lumakad papunta sa office ng boss ko. I told him about my plan that I'm going to the Philippines prior our scheduled flight. Good thing, he allowed me.

"Hey, bub."

"Fuck you," I told James and closed the gate. Istorbo ang gago.

"Hoy!" Sigaw niya kaya padabog kong binuksan ang gate. "Patulog ako. Tinatamad akong bumalik sa Queenstown."

Inambaan ko siya ng sapak bago nanguna papasok. "Kapatid," tawag ko kay Jacell ng makita siyang aakyat na ng hagdan.

"Why?" She smiled when she looked at my back. "Hey, Kuya James," bati niya at lumapit sa mokong para bumeso. "What brings you here at this late hour?"

"As usual, border nina Lola," parinig ko.

Tumawa ang loko. "Makikitulog lang. Kababalik ko lang galing sa isang flight."

"Oh, okay. I'll go to my room now. Good night," paalam ni Jacell at niyakap ako bago umakyat sa taas.

Pumunta kami ni James sa lanai para mag-inom. Palagi namang ganito kapag narito siya. Kapag bakasyon niya sa Pilipinas, napunta siya rito sa NZ dahil sa training o trabaho niya. Tapos, nanggugulo rin siya sa akin.

"Excited ka na bang bumalik sa Pilipinas?" Nakangisi niyang tanong at sinalinan ang baso namin ng alak.

Ininom ko 'yon at nag-isip. After four years, I'm going back to my other home. I'm a dual citizen so technically, New Zealand is also my home.

I went back to the Philipines once when I learned about what happened to Grey bro. Then the next years, I was just here, busying myself with my work and studies. Pakiramdam ko kapag bumalik ako roon, lalo ko lang mararamdaman na may kulang.

Suminghal lang ako at uminom na ulit. Galing siya sa Pilipinas noong April dahil sa flight at may layover sila kaya ang kwento niya ay nakasama niya ang mga kaibigan namin. Nito lang din April ay na-promote siya bilang isa sa mga Captain Pilots. Grind ang gago.
