Chapter 11: Death

   A month passed. Now. It was the last day of the Aldera Junior High. It was an eventful month for the green-haired boy and his girlfriend. After Inko's death, Izuku started living in the Yaoyorozu Mansion. Asami is doing whatever she can to make Izuku feel at home so she can honor her lover's dying wish. It was a good decision for everyone. Asami's sadness was lessened thanks to Izuku. She can finally get a little bit more sleep at night. Izuku was getting better as well. Asami was doing her best to be a good mother to Izuku and Momo. 2 weeks ago, Asami returned to her work after nearly 2 months of grieving. Everything slowly but surely returning to normal but, Izuku has changed. His passion to be a hero, the flame that strives him further, was gone alongside his mother. He left his dream to be a hero and turned towards making support gears for others. He is already a smart boy for his age. Also, getting a job was easy for him. Because her mother-in-law owned one of the greatest support gear companies in Japan.

   Being a hero lost all of its value in Izuku's eyes after Inko's death. Nobody knows where Nagant is and, most of them already stop searching for her. His mother's death reminded Izuku that heroes are actually weak. After just two months. They are already giving up. Is this the worth of his mother? All the lives she saved, all the villains she captured, all the things she had done for this society. Is this all of his mother's worth to this society? His deep thoughts are cut by the teacher entering the class.

Teacher: "Alright, class. It's time for you all to decide your future careers!" the teacher said with an energetic tone.

Teacher: "Why am I even talking. I know you all want to become heroes!" he said while throwing the papers he brings into the air.

Bakugo: "Hey teach! Don't lump us with these rejects!" the blond boy said with a cocky tone like always.

Student1: "Watch your mouth Bakugo!"

Izumi: "What? He is telling the truth. You all are nothing compare with us." Izumi responded with a mocking tone.

Teacher: "Ah! The big three of Aldera. You all want to go to UA, right?" the teacher asked.

Student2: "UA? Isn't that school has a 2% acceptance rate?" a girl asked from behind.

Bakugo: "Yeah. So what! We are good enough to enter!" Bakugo shouted with his usual angry tone.

Teacher: "Oh! Izuku, you wanted to go to UA as well, right?" after the teacher said that, everyone stopped talking.

   Everyone looked at Izuku. Nearly the entire school knew Izuku is strong. Even some say he has a strength enhancer quirk, but he pretends to be quirkless. The silence continued until someone broke it.

Student3: "Izuku? I know he strong but isn't he is quirkless?"

Bakugo: "DEKUUU! HOW DAREE YOU!" the angry blond shouted with rage. He was already angry towards him because, in his mind, Izuku "stole" Momo from him.

Izuku: "Shout me like that, one more time, you angry pomeranian. I will neuter you in front of everyone!" Izuku shouted to Bakugo. He knew this is the only way to shut him up.

Izuku: "Now... For the question. I will not go to UA for the hero class. I am going to the support class."

   This shocked most of the students'. Sure, Izuku was changed since her mother's death but, the change was this much? The trio is shocked even more than everyone. Their main rival said that he gave up. They finally did it. They accomplished their goal to make Izuku give up. Izumi and Shoto are laughing from inside, celebrating. However, Bakugo wanted one more thing from Izuku. It was the love of Momo. Izuku finally gave up on being a hero but, getting Momo was far more important to him.
