Chapter 17: Forest Mission

5 Days Later 

   Heroes split into three teams to recover the last three pieces of the Rune of Life. They managed to get two pieces without any problem already and hoped that getting the other three pieces will be that easy again. After they all got ready, each team went to the locations of the rune pieces.

Team 1: Bakugo, Kamui Woods, Miruko, Eraser Head, Best Jeanist, Edgeshot.

Team 2: Izumi, Ryuko, Hawks, Midnight, Present Mic, Iida, Uraraka.

Team 3: Asami, Endeavor, All Might, Nezu, All For One.

Team 1

Team 1 was heading deep inside of forest that the temple was in. Eraser Head was using the magical compass that Nezu gave him to navigate their way to the temple. However, when they arrive at the temple. They realized that Izuku's men were already inside the temple. They all stopped and hide.   

Eraser Head: "It seems like we are late. They already got in."

Bakugo: "Then let's kick their ass and get the damn piece." the explosive blond said with his usual aggressive tone.

Miruko: "He is right. We need to take the piece from them." the rabbit hero said. She was approving Bakugo's words. They can't let them take the piece and leave.

Edgeshot: "It's a stupid idea." the ninja hero refused the idea of a direct attack.

Eraser Head: "Edgeshot is right. Look at their numbers. They are too many to fight for a long time and we don't know that they have the piece." 

Best Jeanist: "I agree with Eraser Head. Their numbers are far superior to us, and we should remember what Nezu said to us." he said while looking at the aggressive duo. He hoped that they will remember what Nezu told everyone about Izuku's powers. However, they both just looked at him without a word. He took a deep breath.

Best Jeanist: "As you all know." he stopped for a moment while looking at the duo. "Izuku's servants are immortal, and they can regenerate infinitely. So fighting them head-on was a bad option because eventually, they tire us out and kill us. Not only we lose a piece alongside our lives. Then Izuku can use us to fight for him." he explained to the aggressive duo about how idiotic their plan was.

Bakugo: "So what are we gonna do then?" he asked the heroes.

Edgeshot: "Simple. We wait for an ambush. We get the piece and leave. It's our best chance." 

Miruko: "What if they teleport away?" the rabbit hero asked with a curious voice. She really doesn't want to fail this mission.

Best Jeanist: "They can't. Remember what Nezu said. Spells are useless in the temple and its vicinity. So they can't get out that easily."

Kamui Woods: "Also, these bracelets are hiding our presence. So we have the surprise factor on our side as well." he said while shaking his hand with the bracelet.

Miruko: "Fine... Let's do it with your ninja way." rabbit hero said while looking at the Edgeshot.

Eraser Head: "Bakugo?"

Bakugo: "Alright... Where do we ambush them?"

Edgeshot: "These ones look like just foot soldiers. The leader is probably still in the temple. We wait until the leader exit from the temple and watch the path they take for a little bit. Then ambush little further in the road."

   Everyone nodded and started waiting for the leader to come out. After an hour of waiting, Hecarim got out of the temple with the box contains the rune piece. The centaur ghost starts walking out of the forest with his 50 soldiers.
