The day after the day before....

             Dream was aching and terrified. He was too scared to go outside after yesterday. What if it happened again? What if one of the guys followed them home? What if they hurt Nick or George worse than before? So many questions were going round in his head so he put on some music to try and drown it out. He failed to hear George upset in the room next door.
             George was struggling. He had only been in America for a few days and it was expected that he would miss home a little. He absolutely loved being in America with Dream and Sapnap but he did miss his place back in London. He was so used to being in solitude that so much social interaction was very overwhelming and after yesterday it become worse. George was worried to go out again. He was very appreciative of Dream and Sapnap helping him yesterday, he didn't know what would of happened if they hadn't. He felt so lost.
       The thing that bothered him most was how he felt. Dream showed so much compassion towards him but George found it hard to reciprocate that. He was unsure of how he felt towards Dream, everytime he was close George felt safe and comfortable. It was a weird feeling but nice, it felt nice.
            Sapnap was downstairs, the swelling on his eye had gone down a lot and he was just left with a nasty bruise. He claimed that it looked badass, which it did, but the reason it happened was not badass at all and instead unfair. The things the boys had said had got to him, people had commented on his looks before but this time it was no longer people behind a screen on a keyboard and it was reality.
        He didn't want to worry the guys that he was feeling really self-conscious after it but he was. He knew he'd get over it eventually. Sapnap continued to scroll through Twitter, smiling at fanart and funny tweets about his recent stream.

        Then he came accross something... a video. The video stated "Dream team assault a bunch of young boys in the streets of Florida", he would usually skip past these things knowing they were fake but after yesterday he watched it and he wished he didn't.
       The video had been recorded by someone standing far from the fight yesterday and it had been edited to the part where Dream had jumped in making it look like he hit them unprovoked. The good news was that Dreams face was obscured as the quality wasn't brilliant so his identity was still safe but the bad news.....oh god there was a whole lot of it.     
            The comments underneath the video disgusted Sapnap, people actually believed they did this and were full of verbal abuse.

"that's right! Look at them! knew we couldn't trust them", "fatty, pretty and pussy what a bunch", "living up to the Minecraft Youtuber reputation I see, can't ever trust them", "go and leave hate and a dislike on all their videos". He kept scrolling and scrolling it got worse and worse and more and more popular by the second. He just stared blankly feeling scared, overwhelmed and angry. He didn't know what to do. He didn't want to worry Dream more than he already was but he knew he'd see it anyway.
               Dream thought he heard Sapnap call from downstairs, he turned the music down and realised he was and it sounded serious.

"CLAY! CLAY!"

      Dream jumped up and ran down the stairs as quickly as he could, George came out of his door when he realised there was something going on.

"What's wrong Sapnap? What's happened", Dream could see the horror on Sapnaps face and knew.

       Sapnap turned his phone screen and passed it to Dream and Dream watched in shock. George came down and stood quietly not knowing what to say.

"Who has done this Sapnap? Where's it from?

Sapnap replied "it's been shared around so much Dream, it's number one on trending, it's hard to know where it originated from. Have you see the comments he asked?" Anxiously biting his nails and putting his hand through his hair.

        George was now beside the both of them, Dream collapsed back onto the chair and put his head in his hands.

"It's one thing after another isn't it, I just can't catch a break".

       Sapnap andGeorge both looked at eachother with the same sad look in their eyes and then back down at Dream.

"People are never going to understand are they? Never going to let me just live my life and enjoy creating content. Just leave me be and enjoy doing what I'm doing. They're all just out to get me", his voice broke and his eyes began to glaze over but he blinked back the tears.

      Sapnap rested his hand on one shoulder and George on the other.

"We will sort this Dream, I promise" George said reassuringly.
            Sapnap and George were on the case ctrying to find where the original clip had come from. Both of them had tweeted trying to explain what had actually happened, some people believed them but they had not convinced the majority yet.
     Dream was sitting in his room staring blankly into the void wishing it would just open up and swallow him. Patches was sitting with him purring as if she knew he wasn't himself. Dream started to stress out thinking of every possible outcome, every situation, everything this could mean and begun to breathe heavily so much so he felt as if his chest was closing up . He ran to the bathroom, slamming and locking the door, turned the shower to freezing cold and got in, in an attempt to calm himself down. He told himself it was going to be okay and reassured that they'd get it sorted. After a few moments, he heard a knock on the door "

"Hey Dream, are you okay in there?"

    It was George, Dream didn't want George to see him in that state so answered "Yes George I'm fine just having a shower".

        George knew it was a lie but agreed anyway to prevent further worrying Dream and went back downstairs to try and solve the issue.
            George and Sapnap looked for hours and finally, after all the searching, found the original edited clip. They contacted the person who had tweeted it asking them to take it down and explain the real situation. The person had clearly done it for a joke not realising how serious this was going to become and after some convincing took it down and posted that it had been edited. Sapnap and George were trying to avoid telling everyone about the real scenario but felt they had too after that. They asked the person for the whole unedited clip and they handed it over. Sapnap tweeted the original clip with a long Twitter post on what had actually happened.
           Everyone begun to understand and apologise for believing it, some people continued to hate but that was normal.
          Happy and relieved that it had been sorted they went up to tell Dream but they found him sound asleep in his chair and decided to leave him and tell him in the morning.
