Dreams eyes opened to the bright lights of a hospital room. He could barely open his eyes as it was so bright. He went to sit up but he was connected to machines and wires. He looked around to see nurses and doctors pacing around.
"Nurse" he groaned, "Where am i? What happened? He said rubbing his eyes to see a little clearer.
His body ached and he didn't feel well.
"Clay, you finally decided to come round" the nurse smiled gladly, "you put your friends through quite the scare" she laughed "What on earth were you thinking".
All of a sudden, the curtain was drawn back and Sapnap came running into the room
"Dream!" He shouted grabbing him by the shoulders and hugging him with all his strength.
He pulled back with tears streaming down his face and a smile beaming.
"You're here, I thought- I thought" he struggled "I'd lost you" His voice cracked but it was tears of joy.
"Don't you dare ever do that to me again".
Dream smiled, "Hey Sap, I'm sorry I didn't mean to scare you. I didn't know what to do Nick. I couldn't do it anymore".
"You should have come to me Dream. You should have swallowed your pride and told me how you felt. None of this wouldn't have happened. George wouldn't hav-". Sapnap stopped.
"George wouldn't have what Sapnap? Dream sat up, pulling the wires from his arms, he spoke with a grave seriousness in his voice.
"Umm" Sapnap muttered not knowing how to rectify what he had said, Dream was trying to get up now and the nurse was trying to tell him to stay where he was as he hadn't completed his full treatment.
"I need to see him" Dream said "Now, where is he?".
Sapnap didn't know what to say, Dream had just come back round did he really want to tell him this already. It would send him over the edge.
"He's back at home" Sapnap lied, He felt terrible lying to Dream but he didn't want him to feel as though it was his fault.
"He didn't want to see you in this state, he said he'll see you soon".
"Okay" Dream responded.
He sat back down on the bed, he knew something was up but he didn't have the energy to fight with Sapnap right now. It was very clear that Sapnap hadn't slept for the last few days, he was still in the same clothes as the night of the incident and had been staying at the hospital waiting for Dream to wake up. The nurses had told him there was a very small chance he was going to survive but he knew Dream was a fighter and he'd make it, but at what cost.
The nurses fussed with Dream and gave him the things he needed to get back to good health. Sapnap was worried, how would dream react when he got home and realised George was no longer there.
