George and Sapnap sat in silence on George's bed after Dream left. They didn't know what to say or what to do to help him. The three of them had gone through so much together but this...this they didn't know how to fix.
George broke the Silence "I'm worried about him, Sap" he said quietly, running his fingers through his hair.
"me too" Sapnap responded. "I don't know what to do, what can we do?" Sapnap continued on "Everything Dream does, somebody has something to say. He never gets a chance to enjoy the things he loves because its always paired with immense amounts of sadness and contempt. When will people see that he is human too" He said, his voice breaking at the terrible things his bestfriend had to endure.
"I know" George said, placing a hand on Sapnaps shoulder.
The both of them continued scrolling through Twitter, it was absolutely full of hate and homophobic slurs. George felt sick to the stomach and could no longer look.
"He can't see this" Sapnap said "it would kill him, to know people are saying these things about you. He can handle the hate at him, he has done all these years but you, oh god it would kill him knowing it could hurt you".
George nodded in agreement, he knew Dream would blame himself so he thought it best to keep quiet.

The house was deadly quiet. The whole situation had drove them all to be lost in their own heads which was a very dangerous place to be.
Sapnap, although not directly involved, the photo had lead to hate towards the whole Dream Team and people were insulting him about his appearance. He didn't feel happy or comfortable in his own body and this just made that worse.
George was lost, he felt more lonely than ever. He had never faced this amount of hate before especially homophobia. He hid himself away in his room and tried to sleep to escape but the voices in his head were to loud and doomed him to restlessness.
But Dream, Dream felt numb. He had cried so much he was sure it was impossible to cry anymore. He had sat in the bathroom all night long trying to distract himself and think of anything else but it wouldn't work. He was shivering, cold and empty trying to find some sort of light to lift him from this seemingly inescapable darkness that was consuming him but it was useless. So he sat, cold and alone listening to the voices that told him it wasn't worth it.————————————————————————
The next morning, George awoke. He had managed to get a few hours in, he crept to the bathroom trying his best not to make too much noise. He knocked quietly on the door, barely having enough energy to turn the handle. He felt weak and defeated.
He slid down with his back to the door, and sobbed to himself in the darkness of the hallway."Dream" he said, barely managing to form a word "Please let me in".
George sat there, feeling nothing but complete despair for a while until the door clicked behind him. There he was, shivering, shaking, cold. George didn't say a word and just held him tight never wanting to let go.
"Hey" Dream croaked running his finger down George's tear stained cheek.
Dream was a mess. His hair all over the place, dark circles beneath his dull bloodshot eyes."I'm sorry" George whispered.
Dream shook his head slowly "No, don't do that to yourself. This is my fault. If I had just listened to you and told people, things might have been different".
George ran his hand through Dreams hair "Let's get you warm".
The two of them made their way to Dreams bedroom. Dream sat down and George grabbed him a warm hoodie from his wardrobe.
"Thank you" Dream muttered his teeth chattering wildly.
"It's okay" George smiled.
They laid down, not talking but the silence was loud, George rested his head on Dreams chest, his breathing had returned to a slow, gentle rhythmic pattern and he had calmed down.
They both fell asleep, cuddled together in the warmth of the bed. Two broken souls entwined in the complications of love. Broken but able to fix eachother.
