Out of breath, the group took one last corner before they eventually slowed to a halt, leaning against the walls to catch their breath.

"Just to clarify," Sirius started, taking a moment to take a few more short breaths, "that was bloody brilliant!"

"So. Much. Running." Remus breathed out before collapsing onto the floor.

He lay there catching his breath as Alice came and slumped next to him with her back against the wall. She patted his head as she agreed solemnly, "Too much running."

"But bloody brilliant." James added.

"Other than being scarred for life because of the clothing mistake, I'd say it was perfect." Sirius added, coming to sit next to Alice, James not far behind.

They sat in silence a little longer, taking the opportunity to catch their breath.

When she felt like she could breath without doing an impression of a dog in summer like Sirius was, Alice finally noticed what was wrong with the scene. "Um, guys, where's Peter?"

James finally looked up, also noticing the absence. "Oh."

"Not again." Sirius groaned. "Did we lose Peter?"

"Seems so." James responded.

"Well does anyone know where he might be?" Sirius asked.

"Nope." Alice replied. "I don't suppose we could put a bell on him too, to keep track of him?"

"Nah we scrapped that idea. We're still trying to come up with better plans for avoiding situations like this." James reminded her.

"Oh yeah."

"How are we doing on the ideas front, Professor?" Sirius asked, turning towards Remus who lazily held up an upside down thumb before dropping it back to the floor again. "I'll check in again later then."

"So... Peter?" Alice asked, realising they had gotten sidetracked.

"Accio Peter Pettigrew." Remus mumbled, waving his wand in the air above him.

They all sat waiting in silence, but hearing nothing, slumped back and tried to think of another way to find Peter.

"He'll turn up eventually." James reasoned, not making much of an effort to move. "For all we know, he could b-"

"Shush." Remus quickly cut in.

"Well excuse you, I was talking." James huffed, crossing his arms as he slouched back into the wall.

"Yeah, he could have had something really important to say. Maybe even world changing."

"Thank you Sirius. You know, I don't feel like I say it enough so I'll say it no-"

"Oh shut up!" Remus interrupted, finally sitting up. "Do you not hear that?"

Everyone strained to hear whatever it was that Remus was hearing while he shuffled around to lean against the wall with his head on Alice's shoulder.

"I don't hear anything, but then again, my hearing is terrible." Alice stated, leaning back and placing her head on top of Remus', being careful not to disturb him too much.

Sirius and James remained forward, barely being able to hear a noise that was getting louder and louder. "I think I hear it..." James trailed off.

"Yeah, it sounds almost like a high pitch ringing, except it's getting louder." Sirius agreed.

"Even I can hear it now." Alice added.

"It sounds like a mix between a girl screaming and a pig." Sirius decided.
