The 23rd of December, 2020

Emma's POV

It's been three days since everyone arrived, three days since I relapsed. I didn't eat much more than a salad that night for dinner. No one except the three of us knows about it, mostly because I don't want to set off a weak impression on everyone else. The scars are slowly healing and I'm trying, but it's hard. I have eaten one meal max a day. Normally I'd eat a small meal that barely filled me up. Now I'm either eating a salad or bits and pieces of what we have for dinner. I know Mum and Gemma are getting concerned based on the skeptical looks they give me. Louis's three oldest sisters though haven't noticed. I say sisters because Doris and Ernest are too young to actually catch on.

Today I'm supposed to go out and explore London with the twins and Lottie. To say I'm nervous is an understatement. If I didn't have to be in the room with them, I wasn't. I wouldn't say that I'm avoiding them individually, but more being with them alone. That, however, is exactly what's expected to happen this morning.

I'm currently dressing into my outfit of the day. I've chosen a white turtle neck, black skinnies, my uggs, my caramel trench coat, and a white beanie paired with white gloves. I grab my bag and slip my phone into my back pocket. I grab my camera bag and take a deep breath before heading downstairs. When I get to the bottom of the staircase I'm met with the girls already waiting for me. I make my way to the den to say goodbye before heading out. When I hug Harry he whispers, "Call me if something happens, okay?" and I nod into his shoulder before pulling away. Then we're off into the streets of London.

We take the tube to central London and then we walk around and through the shops. The streets of London are absolutely beautiful. I take pictures of the scenery as we walk through the city. Small talk is made, but the sisters mostly talk about clothes behind me while I stray ahead. "Emma, where'd you get your outfit, it's really cute," Daisy speaks up. I cringe at the question knowing it's nothing compared to where they get their clothes.

"Um, probably Ross, our version of TK Maxx. I can't quite remember," I admit. The deafening silence after that speaks for itself. I sigh before continuing on towards a small park. As we walk through I take some more pictures of nature and people, making sure to not get anyone's faces. I'm about to take a picture across the pond when I feel a tug on the end of my coat. I look down to see a young child, around three years old. I let my camera hang around my neck before crouching down to his height. "Hey kiddo, everything okay?" I ask looking around for their parents.

"Yeah, I'm Carlos, I just wanted to say you look really pretty," he says in a small voice. I smile and reach to ruffle his hair.

"Well, hello Carlos, thank you very much," I thank, still keeping an eye out for parents looking for their child.

"You're welcome! You got an ouchie?" he asks looking at my wrapped arm where my coat and sleeve road up. My eyes widen while I come up with something to say. I can feel the three sisters' eyes on me as I come up with an answer.

"Yeah, but I'll be okay, it's just a little scratch that got a little infected," I come up with, not too confident in my answer. His mouth falls into a small 'o' showing that he understands.

"I hope you get better," he says, sincerely.

"Thank you, now, do you know where you're parents are?" I ask and his face lights up a bit.

"Yeah, my dads are over there on the bench," he points to two men sitting on a bench not too far away. I smile before holding out my hand for him to take so I can walk him over.
